but would you recommend the 2 mobos above or any other recommendations??
i would simply go for the cheaper of the two if there are no unique features that i want in the more expensive one. from what i remember the z690 ud was already a pretty decent mobo to begin with, so i dont think the z790 model will be worse. but if ur just general use (multitasking is still within this realm), then i would suggest going for a 7600 + a620/b650 as the gaming performance will be similar for a much cheaper price, plus lower power consumption.
and i guess i have to use the wattage calculator again

but future-proofing with 850w is advisable or not??
if u have the budget sure, though imo most people should be good with 650-750w.
ASUS PRIME Z790-P WIFI-CSM D5 + i5-13600KF $780
asus tuf gaming 4070ti ?
KINGSTON FURY BEAST RGB DDR5 6000MHz CL40 16gb x 2 $330
WD Black SN850X Gen4 7300MB/s Nvme M.2 Ssd 1TB $160
Asus Rog Strix 750W 80+ Gold Full Modular Psu $149
for casing and cooling i do not know what to choose?
i like fractal torrent but i think it will exceed my budget. is there any thats like that but below $200 that can fit the above?
air or liquid cooling is fine as long as it cools the cpu.
it depends on what u like about the torrent. aesthetics wise there are barely any alternatives (see if u can find the torrent compact?), but if u are more concerned about airflow, then i have suggested a few cases with good airflow in a spoiler towards the end of the op. for 13600k, if ur just gaming, a good air cooler like the pa120 should be fine, but if u also plan to do core heavy tasks then better to invest in a aio like the arctic liquid freezer ii 360. if ur just gaming however, i will suggest u consider the ryzen 7600 combo as i recommended to the bro above.
if i buy everything from dynacore(or another place) will they give discount and do i have to pay extra to ask them to help me to build it? will they help me to overclock or i have to learn myself.
maybe can bargain the price abit, and usually if u buy everything from them they wont charge build fee, though u can always confirm with them. oc wise i dont think they will do it for u, so yes u will have to learn urself, but then again oc headroom varies from chip to chip so it is really a luck of the draw.
after setting up, is it the windows10/11 unactivated, do i just go to shopee and buy the windows 10/11 activation key for around $20 and i can start using?
should be inactivated unless u also buy the key from dynacore. but the key from shopee should also work just fine.
Hello,
I got 3 questions, for a friend in Thailand, baht
1) Any comments on this build?
2) what is roughly the price?
3) Are fans missing?
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7800X3D
M/B: ASUS ROG Strix X670E-E Gaming Wifi
VGA: ASUS GeForce RTX 4090 ROG Strix OC
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB DDR5 32GB (16GBx2) 6000 Black
SSD: WD - 1 TB (SSD M.2 PCIe 4.0 WD BLACK SN850X)
PSU: silverstone 1200w
CASE: Thermaltake Ceres 500 TG ARGB Black
LIQUID COOLING: THERMALRIGHT - FROZEN MAGIC EX 360 ARGB AIO Liquid CPU Cooler
Current price is SGD 5827 converted from 150,000 baht
like kaixax mentioned, everything is quite overkill. mobo and gpu definitely can step down to lower tier models without losing anything in performance. i would also opt for more well known brand name psu, silverstone doesnt have a lot of good models like corsair or seasonic.
the fact that this is almost twice the price of the highest price build i recommended while only offering at most 20% more performance is just

i wouldnt go this route for sure.
Several online posts suggests that in terms of value, R5-5600 is better than R5-5600X. Would it better to save the money to go for 5600 instead of 5600X?
Also, for GPU and 1080p gaming in general, would RX6600 suffice (non XT)?
yes.
Recently, there are also concerns about GPU VRAM requirements in general. Will it be better to opt for a 3060 (12GB) that cost about a $100 more for better future proofing? I understand that there are also some benefits like better ray-tracing and is highly dependent on individual use-case. But what are your thoughts in general?
i personally would not do so. 3060 is at most 10% faster and rt performance at this level of performance is basically unplayable without upscaling (not that u want to use it at 1080p anyway), so for me the 6600 is better value. in terms of vram, there is literally only 1 game so far (tlou1) that breaks 8gb cards at rasterised 1080p and that is when cranking graphical settings to ultra. in general ultra preset is quite pointless in boosting visual fidelity over lower presets, so u can get 99% of the visuals with high preset and also avoids the vram issue in that game, making even 1440p playable. in the vast majority of games, vram wont be an issue for 1080p.
In terms of motherboard, is the downgrade to A520M advisable or should I just stick to B550M, assuming the Tecware Nexus Air M2 case is used.
from what i see, a520 is not much cheaper than b550, plus the 6600 needs all the pcie bandwidth it needs, so best to stick to b550.
What about building this in an ITX build? Is it even advisable? (Temps, noise, fans, pricing of smaller case, etc)
if ur budget allows sure, itx parts tend to command quite a premium over regular m/atx. 5600 + 6600 is not a very high power system, so even with a compact case thermals and noise should be manageable.
In general, following the recommended build, is the fan noise very high / distracting or are they tunable?
should be quite manageable and definitely tuneable.
also dont worry about asking questions, thats why this thread exists
