If my floor plan is like this..
1000134128.jpg

I will be removing the door at the master bed room, and then putting a door at the living room to the room corridors..

Going to put a aircon in the living room, master bedroom and bedroom 2.

WHat will be recommended aircon configuration and model to go for?

Edit: added color coded area for where the 3 aircons air will be circulated

Yes because it comes at 100%power. If u want to limit it then must ask contractor but also risk voiding warranty. Unless it’s done by panasonic themselves.

In NEA terms, 100% is the rated cooling. For Panasonic 4XU33YBZ, it is 7.0kW or 23.8K BTU cooling capacity.

As someone mentioned earlier, the most efficient cooling is between 40%-70%. Which translate to 2.8kW to 4.9kW or 9.5K to 16.7K BTU.

Hi All,
My installation of ME Starmex System 4 installation is tomorrow from Harvey Norman. The installation contractor is *Easycool Aircon Servicing*. Please advise is it worth buying the extended warrant from HN? Is it also good to have yearly service plan with service contractors or do adhoc services as and when needed.
Is it good to do a regular service such as quarterly or half-yearly?
Thanks for advise.
Hi there, I also going to install the ME Starmex system 4 from Harvey Norman next Monday. May I check how's their workmanship? everything looks good? did you upgrade your copper wire to the swg21?

For mine, I have to install the drain pump for the living room aircon as it will be lower than the drain pipe that runs from all the other room.

Attached is the floor plan

Lower floor:

Areas tagged as balcony & living rm: they will be merged into one massive dining area

Areas tagged as study & dining rm : the wall will be torn down and the large space will be living room and study\reading lounge.

Upper floors: no change: bedrooms remain as is.

Hence my ID proposed a dual compressor system, 3 units downstairs and 3 upstairs.

Preferably ME, just not sure what BTU should be used.

Usage downstairs could be hheavy when hosting gatherings or game nights.

Would appreciate your thoughts folks!

Upper floor you may consider 3H28 (13+10+10)
Lower floor , get 4H33 (living 18k , dining 13 and study room 10)

thanks!

Traditionally for maisonette, the condensors are placed in the balcony, however I have neighbours in the same block who have placed their two condensors outside their unit. I'd like to do the same. anything i should look out for?

im thinking to place the two condensers on the parapet outside bedroom 3 and study room, thats what i've seen the neighbours do

if the window is non accessible, don’t think can lift out the condenser.
You can install then just do quietly 😂

It subcon to others.

Need to install drain pump cause the drainage route is via the room behind the living room aircon. no other way to route it already. and cause on top of the wall is beam so cannot drill hole. that's why the aircon need to be placed lower than the rest of the aircon in the rooms. the drainage route is along the beam.

. Since you are hosting and you need the cooling power. Else not much use, if it takes 1hr plus to cool the whole place down. Best is to take 18k for living and 18k dining. 4H33. X2 units One set for the living and master with compressor at the balcony and one Set for the dining and 2 bedrooms, compressor outside bedroom3. This way you also keep the pipe runs short. But not sure if HDB allows for some length of pipe runs outside bedroom3 to the dining area.
