Galaxy Ace Auto Shutdown and rmv battery to power up

HI,

anybody is having this auto shut down problem?

With wifi on, intermittently, like 3-4 times a day, even when left alone and not playing with it, it will auto shut down and then have to remove battery to be able to power it on.

I have already upgraded the firmware but still the same.

its not auto shutdown.. the screen just cant come on... u try calling your number.. it will still go thru.. but the phone doesnt ring and the screen does not come on.. no vibration or what..

when u take out and connect back the batt, the miss call will not register after turning back the phone on..

i believe its a hardware prob... but the samsung guys think its otherwise..

Relief to know I am not the only one cos when I asked friends and others around, no one has any problem.

Actually i read your email and pain before but I didn't know its the same problem. All the while I thought it auto shutdown.

Have you tried wifi manager? it seems to give less problem but still it does.
Turning off wifi confirms solves the problem.

I did not have a data plan and uses WIFI frequently .... why i received long SMS but could not forward to other friends? It states that is is converting to multimedia message and unable to send through.

Anyone encounter this? Any ways to counter?

i just dwled it.. didnt know its the wifi issue.. currently didnt switch on wifi unless nec (cos i just got my multi sim plan recently) so the prob never came back.. now i know its the wifi that is causing it..

MMS can only be sent via mobile network, not wifi
