I need your advice.

I book two room via Agoda for $623 per room. It was Pay Later.

Yesterday, I got an update from DBS that they will be replacing my CC with a new CC due to suspect fraudulent cases.

How do I change the payment option to input my new CC? Cos I choose Pay Later and Payment will only take place on 24 Dec 2018. I can’t any change of payment option on the app. It’s not like Booking.com.

Any advise?

Call agoda and they would assist you ...
They might ask u to rebook ...
Since hotel rates fluctuate every moment ...

I already checked with Agoda and was told to cancel and rebook again.


Rates have changed. Earlier booking was $623 with breakfast for 5 nights. Now price have raised up to $1008.67 with Breakfast and $721.06 without breakfast.


So I just cancelled and book with Expedia instead since their rates are way better than Agoda. $638 for 5 nights without breakfast.


Sigh. Rugi liow. $623 with breakfast but kena cancelled due to new CC been issued.

Made a booking recently with agoda for an hotel stay in bangkok.
However, agoda ONLY sent me a confirmation via sms.
There was nothing sent to my email (not in spam folder too) and there was nothing on their website.
So i proceed to book another hotel cos the dates of traveling are getting near.
I was then charged for cancellation on the 1st booking, which i did not cancel.

Tried emailing Agoda but their replies is like SOP.
Anyone encounter such thing?

Bo. Normally after booking of hotel, About 10mins like that you will get the confirmation email already. Best is check with agoda regarding your booking and you can ask them to check your history of cancellation.

Check your agoda account, there are records of the hotels you booked. You can actually request within ur account to send you the confirmation via email again or as many times as you want.

maybe you entered your email wrongly ?
Call agoda number, 6329-7537
email is slow, calling is faster

There;s no record and they insist that i have cancelled it.

No leh. Subsequent booking came out and email was sent.
Was on hold for 45min. Have to hang up cos need to work :mad:

this is strange, i never have confirmation via sms from agoda
only email confirmation and these arrived to my mailbox within minutes usually

only sms confirmation from credit card for transaction with agoda

Actually im curious should you receive the sms, the message confirmation should come with the booking ID???? And if you didnt receive the email, why didnt you go to agoda and go to your booking and request to sent confirmation again??? Also under my booking, you can check my upcoming booking, completed or cancelled, go check

On my credit card statement, the 1st two charges (correct amount), descriptions are 'Agoda.com', iirc.

The 3rd charge is a different amount from the reservation on Agoda, description 'Agoda Hungary'.

Bank said it's an unsecured charged by a travel agency in Budapest. Bank cancelled my credit card due to suspected fraud. Emailed Agoda, their reply as good as never reply.

Don't think I will use Agoda again.

Didn’t encounter such problem with agoda before, I book 90% of my overseas trip with them. So far so good. Maybe you just need to email them about it. Get them to settle the problem for you. And I don’t think agoda will send sms confirmation btw, it should be email confirmation if I am not wrong.

When you make the booking is you log into account or just guest booking??? Because I suspect maybe you enter wrong email but correct contact when you book and someone received the email so they cancel it then you kana charge.

If you book using your account, then screenshot your booking and ask them why didn't the cancel hotel appear at your account cancelled nhotel. Ask the booking ID is for which booking...
