nvm they deducted liao but they deduct more than what my booking page says

total cost of hotel under my booking tab on booking.com is 486 SGD

checked my bank account and 505 SGD is deducted instead haiz

why am i not surprised

there are higher charges/fees for online Debit card purchases ... avoid using Debit card ... if no Credit Card, better to pay at hotel in local currency if there is a choice

Your booking is not pay at hotel? Usually i don't choose non-refundable or non-cancelleable since many hotels on booking.com have free cancellation and you pay at hotel. But of course, the price is higher.

I will keep a look out for other better options and book non-refundable ones only when the date draws closer, usually using hotels.com code on last minute deals.

usually i check and compare few website to make decision...
sometime i go open google map,check hotel location,click hotel name, then google map will show all the available price from diff website...
i dont know how browser work, sometime when i check facebook , there advertisment, and usually the price is cheaper if u click the link from the facebook than u direct go to example agoda website..hard to explain...but i can say there totally diff pricing shown

Hotels.com, yes, price stated is what you pay provided you are at the sg site.

Hotels.com and expedia rates normally are the same by default ...
they are under the same group ...
would use expedia, cox can use discount ...
hotels.com, if use discount, no free nites ...

Where to find expedia codes ah? Been searching for a while but cant find useful one. Only managed to find agoda 10% code till EOY 2018.

I hate how booking.com knows since im not charged in sgd i will suffer extra fees but didnt tell me to go agoda instead

Safra used to have one ... but think until end jul no more already ...
the one i got for the ocbc, no need to go their ocbc link, also can apply on their app ...

anyway to update airbnb staff claims that i will be charged in sgd while the host will receive the money in their own currency

can confirm that what he said is total bullshet

since i checked my bank account and it deducted more from me

so actually im charged in the host currency thats why the bank deducted more money (conversion) from me

really pising me off when people dont understand english and give wrong info

Some hotels have early payment scheme and/or require you to prepay before you arrive. That's also under 'pay at hotel'. Pay at hotel doesn't necessarily mean yoh pay cash/credit card when you arrive at check in.
