Honestly, why would you put a cover over your intake fans and obstruct airflow? Apparently, this case did it for aesthetics..

Because without cover, the amount of dust trapped outside the casing is very ugly. The dust collected is so visible after 1 week. So i was thinking of a casing with cover and window by the side.

My PC airflow is as follows:

Front - 2 x intake
Top - 3 x exhaust
Rear - 1 x exhaust
Bottom - 1 x intake
Side - 2 x intake (blowing directly at 2x GPUs)

Although im happy with its idle temperatures - 30-33C for both CPU & GPUs but its the load/gaming temperatures that are un-correspondingly high - in the mid 70Cs for the CPU and peaking at 80C for the GPUs. Granted, that is only when playing demanding games like Crysis/3, other games no issue as they hover around 50C-60Cs for both CPU & GPUs (CPU usually lower than GPUs). I would think if idle temps are low, it would translate in correspondingly lower peak temperatures. But since it only occurs with Crysis/2 I take it as the exception rather than the norm. The temps are pretty OK when playing mainstream games.

Cable ties :D The side panel has a meshed window facing the 2 side fans. That is the reason why the GPUs no longer hover at low 40Cs in idle mode :D

Idle mode? So there's no way to lower the load mode temperature unless you go aircon

Yes the GPUs used to idle at low 40Cs but after I installed the side fans they hover around 30-33C. Yes ambient temperature is probably the only way to lower temps further. I usually put aircon at 27C after they were cleaned because it became more efficient (rooms quite small also). Guess if I lower aircon to the "standard" 24C temps should be lower. Anyways temps are not a problem when playing mainstream games (around 50-60Cs). They only hit above 75C when playing Crysis/3 or doing stress tests/benchmarking so I should think it's normal.

Yes exactly. That's why I feel like changing a case with cover.

Anyone know if sls sell corsair 330r with window?

buy from ebay the filter. i bought 2 140mm filters works great and cheap

thats a sweet rig. the cable ties strong enough to counter the force of the wind? action-reaction. the fans act like propeller wont move and cause noise vibration?

your noctua cooler is also quite beefy, why cpu temp still so high? u overclock?

Looks like my fan filters are due for my once-every-three-months clean up.

Depends on the type of stuff that flies around in your house. The stuff on my filters are also a bit white/gray.

Honestly, that pic looks like there's heroin or snow stuck on it man. But the filter is easily accessible so its alright I assume.

But there are people who totally missed out the whole concept of having dust filter ie.

Yes, it looks pretty now, but the person will suffer later.

Thanks Bro, nope, no vibration issue. They are tied to each other with cable ties and the left one is similarly tied to the rear chasis' ventilation holes. Yes the CPU is overclocked to 4.2 Ghz. The idle temps are pretty good at low 30Cs (ambient at 27C), they only rise up dramatically when playing Crysis/3 and doing stress tests.

I just tested, when I lower my aircon to 25C, idle temps dropped to 26-30C for the 4 cores.
