The thing is...these days companies just get some cheap china oems and slap on their brands. Sterra, Cosmo and Futur all selling exact same model! better off getting it online direct from china at better price.

How expensive can filters can if you buy custom made from TB or use xiaomi.

I literally on my AP 247 and I only need to change filters twice a year, that's abt 60-70 bucks considering the last jialat haze episode is quite awhile ago. Xiaomi AP only cost me 200+. So I need to use the AP for 10 years and use 20 filters to make for the price of trident.

And they refuse to publish cade which is telling. You might need 2 or even 3 trident to match the output of your typical AP.

So 2 trident vs a xiaomi, lol.

20 years to recover the cost. I don't believe these filter less AP untll they halve their price.

Anyway those sites are generalist site, don't even know how they survey and rank.

i must say i am amazed. my sinus is better after using it and my son also. I intro to few friends and they all say their children blocked nose is now better. other than my hardworking robot vacuum, this trident purifier is my next favourite home product liao

How often do you need to replace the filters? I saw the Novita filters going for $100+, not sure about Xiaomi's replacement filter cost yet. Do 3rd party filters work with these air purifiers? Also, what kind of maintenance is needed for these air purifiers?

I’m using XiaoMi 4 pro. Have changed from pro to 4Pro. Filters are not interchangeable from older AP models such as Gen1/2/3/pro to 4Pro. 4pro filter is bigger than those. I think should last for a year, depends on usage and own preference ba. I changed much earlier. If u do a search, should be able to find the “black” version at ~$50+/- on Lazada/shopee… Last year I bought were cheaper after discount. 3rd party type I so far only bought once, from Lazada. But that one is “green” color type. Not the original “black” version. Cheaper though. After discount, I think I paid ~$29+ last year. Tried. Also working. Also with RFID sticker, auto reset filter lifespan to 100% after changed. But I think I will still continue stick to the original “black” version. Taobao maybe got even cheaper ones, I not sure. I so far only bought filters from Lazada/shopee/qoo10.

4Pro has negative ion feature. Can switch it off via the app if do not want. By default is enabled. I didn’t disable initially until I noticed dust “sticks” to my wall, ceiling after few months later, I decided to disable. That’s probably not uncommon I think. Means ionizing is working. Or maybe because my environment too dusty. lol But I don’t like. So I disable ever since then.

Nothing much to maintain. Only open below, to change filter, wipe around, able to unscrew the top cover to clean the cover and inside (for 4Pro).

And perhaps can also vacuum /dust the small openings behind the AP if needed, where the PM2.5 reader is. I hardly do that though.

Most purifiers do not need much maintenance.

Didn’t use Novita A11, A4S, so unable to comment on them.

The trident plus is also an oem of another adawo model.

Think the difference is just the “cold plasma ions” which I’m not so sure is the same as the negative ions/anions or not. If same, then total rip off from CN.

China’s Adawo (www.adawo.com.cn) has products looking and probably working exactly like Trident products (www.tridentair.sg). yet Trident Air claimed that they did collaboration with A*STAR to come up with this new tech…
