Bloody GONI called to say LG model delayed till 26/10 and offered to 'upgrade' to Samsung AX40.

Those who bought from GONI, pls go rakuten/Qoo10 and give feedback on poor service.

But active carbon are supposed to absorb smell and not give out smell ....

ya. I removed it and proceed to use the ap as normal. pm2.5 still drop so filter is working without the AC

Mine is serviced 4 times a year but usually after 2.5-3 months it starts to leak. Currently the most oftenly used unit leaks after chemical washing just 2 months ago. I suspect piping issue but I am not an expert. I am using Starmex currently

That interval sounds ok. It could v well be piping issue then.

I am hoping the weird smell from my AX40 from Goni is not giving out more pollutants..

Ok, Sharp A28 filter dimensions are 285mm x 310mm x 25mm. 1 inch thick filter

So the above Amazon H13 filter can fit. Slice up the 330mm to become 310mm (very easy coz the pleating is in the same direction) with a penknife. Scotch tape....the seal will be good.

285mm, need to use a strip of PU or LDPE foam and UHU glue to stick and cover the 5mm gap.

Yes...300x300x25 is suitable. Just load up on the bai3 xing4 (commoner) HEPA. Rmb26.
98% eff and no effect on airflow

Correct me if i'm wrong. Won't 40-50db noise be amplified even more in a confined area like in a car? Seems too loud to me for use in car.

If your car is stationary or moving slowly, then you can hear the air purifier noise if it's on high mode, but it's not annoying kind of noise, more like a constant noise that sounds like "fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu". Still able to have normal conversion but not whisper type. Also when you are on the highway, road/engine noise will exceed the noise of your AP. Just turn your car music up a notch and the AP noise will be drown out.

If the air purifier is set to Low, it's about the same noise as your engine/aircon running normally.

The clean air provided by the AP will outweigh the minor amount of noise added. Even your passengers will also feel less tired after a long journey due to the cleaner air.
