He blatantly trying to test the system, I am pretty sure if thirsty and take a sip for hydration or take medication, nobody going to penalize but you want to test system for views? Better prepare your karcheng

There is reasonable "cover one eye" that everyone here obviously knows where u just want to take a small sip because u genuinely thirsty, need take meds etc... Dunnid to make life difficult for ppl.

But when the intent is to "test the system", then I think deterrence should be given to the max.

Plain water can close one eye.
But purposely challenging the law, I'm sure there's a public nuisance act for that.

I remembered this rule too. If it's pure water is fine. It evaporates away without problems. The problem are those sugary drinks. Cause stickiness. Referring to any spillage

But this PRC doing it blatantly trying to test the system needs to be punished. Sick and tired of this 3rd world behaviour

i would say is not a matter of what kind of beverage you are consuming but the intent behind for doing so

if one:
- is having it due to low sugar and need sweeten/Sugary drink to prevent an incident of faint of complication i feel the law will not whack you with it.
- is pairing it with medication .
- is feeding their babies and such
i would say these few of many other valid reason listed wouldn't result in the law smacking you in the face with consequence. 😌

vs

if one is testing the system and broadcasting it in social medial to get views and likes, to showcase such behaviour is allowed without the law coming to smack them in their face with Penalty... i would say this person should face the full extend of it.

if ones intend is to test the system, then the person is fully prepare to face the full extend of the consequences that follow isn't it? 😌

we do not need people like these to create such video to allow people like Johnny Somali, Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, etc to come Singapore and annoy the people here.....

When a guy like him is deliberately challenging the system, then please use the system to track him and fine him. Perfectly fine, if need to drink a bit of water but challenging the system is no no

plain water should be ok laa but really, is there a need to drink/eat anything while on a train journey?
a wee bit of hunger in an hour or less won't be detrimental to one's health

Sometimes i drink plain water (few mouth) in mrt n bus... is cannot ah?
if u are really thirsty and it is plain water..... just a few sip.... no issue...... but if it is milk tea or others.... personally it is an issue to me.... as for this guy is doing it to catch eyeball...... is definitely a no no.........however i dun like the current government.... but the action of this guy is a disrespect for Singapore........and deserve to be punished!
