Hi gurus, all along I have been using CDTs in my siimple setup (current set for 9 years liao). I kinda like the sound of it and also DLS. Changing car soon, and will retire the CDTs as one tweeter like a bit bohosay liao ....

My dekitted stuff

Pioneer 80prs. not reusing as I want to use the integrated HU.
Pioneer WX120 Active Sub
RF Prime 300 4ch Amp

Now cannot find CDT in market liao. Any speaker brands that sound similar to the above-mentioned ? Budget ard $500.

Oh, music I mainly listen to

1. Vocals
2. Lounge Music/Chill out

Will be using back the Active Sub & Amp.

Hi bro CCCustom or any other gurus.. After some research, want to check if Audison AP4D + Bit One is it the same as AP4.9 Bit only since it's Amp and DSP combined?

If so, which set up would be better in terms of price wise, reliability and future usage? Will be driving Focal ES165KX2.

Using a higher grade sound deaderner... Skyline range
Same thickness yet lighter..
Higher mechincal lose coefficient...

Plan on upgrading my stock car speakers to

venom vx 6.8 under seat sub
venom dsp (should be the basic low end model)
for speakers shop recommend audible physics.. im wondering if i should top up abit more to get micro precision 3 series?

Any advice?

ICE

For aftermarket speakers, get an auditon for the Esatto range of car speakers. Made and designed in Italy (for higher ranges), they also pair well with their own branded DSP/amp to give simply said, a compelling audio experience.

Had played ICE for the last 5-6 vehicles I owned over the last 2 decades and this Esatto brand does impress me most for price/value. Not the best out there I am certain but really big bang for buck.

Available solely at Autoimage Sin Ming side. Well worth an audition.

Hi all. I jus started my ICE scene 1 month ago, so still learning. Just installed a 2way active 3 days ago. This is my current setup:

Helix C1T tweeter
Helix C6B speaker
Helix G 4 amp
Helix G 2 amp
Helix mini dsp
Helix K 10E subwoofer

Am thinking of upgrading to a 3 way active along the way. Am considering addinf the following to my exisiting setup:

Helix C2M mid
DLS CC4 (just dekitted few days ago)
Helix DSP 2

Question is
1. am i on the right track to the upgrading?
2. Is DLS cc4 suitable to power up C2M?
3. Any other DSP to recommend?
4. Anything im missing and is essential to the setup
5. Does good(expensive) RCA cable really make a significant difference?

I usually listen to chinese song and i really enjoy clarity sound /clear sound.. SQ? sorry i dont really know their term.

im pretty happy with my current stock unit, if i just wanna add on a woofer to increase to bass, is it possible? without changing out the original speaker etc. understand new car/conti mostly using original HU, so possible to just add woofer or something to increase the bass?

My 2c worth.. I was advised by people that clarity in music is not cheap..

From cables, speaker wires.. amps and speakers and sometimes HU . It plays a part in making music clearer.

The part that you are upgrading after a couple of days of installation- I am not sure if your speakers and amps are up to your standards.

Thus you might want to look at your existing set up and consider what budget you have before adding more things

I came from 2 way and now on 3 way, disposed all my 2 way hardware and did a new set up for my 3 way.

Sadly... still finding the music can be better .

Was advise by the audio shop boss to consider micro P 5 or 7 series and also focal kx3.

Any comment on the above 2 speakers? Is there any place i can listen to these speakers before buying?

ICE, maybe the terms are different but function is same?

home preamp = car HU?
home poweramp = car amp?
home integrated amp = car ???
home speakers (2,3 way) = car audio component speakers?
home audio coax speaker (eg KEF designs) = car audio coax speakers?
home audio active Xcover = car audio DSP?

breathe in and breathe out, sometimes at the heat of moment u will sink in deep. perhaps ask around a few reputable shops for different opinions?

micro p 5/7 is quite common, join some car groups and ask around, shld have people on those setup and ask if u can listen anot.

if not i think actually xtremez they have micro p for customers to listen before deciding, but its a poisonous place to go, so dont bring wallet or card or anything.

if purely just micro p 3 vs ap, i would prefer the ap. which ap did the shop recommend? cos based on just 2 ways setup, ap can play full range with the help of the dsp.

iirc it was ap avatar 1.6. like diff shop recommend diff brand i guess which is has the highest profit margin haha.

thinking of adding an active sub next
