Anybody using Singtel Mesh?

Hi Renfred89, I install the AirTies mesh app on my iPhone successfully with this FW 133.10.1.1368 by default. The weird thing is that after an hour or later, when I on the app, I was asked to key in pw & re enter to set up again everything. Is it normal?

Anybody notice that if you hide the SSID, the Airtiles WIFI app won't be able to detect the mesh network?

Either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz has to be seen in order for the app to work.

When you enable to hide the SSID, it will not be display or broadcast openly.

This applies to all routers /mesh settings on SSID if set as invisible or hidden.

No one hide the SSID unless for a very specific reason.

Only if the said SSID is hidden or invisible, the phone must input the correct SSID in order to receive the signal.

But i'm referring the Airties WIFI app not able to find the mesh network when the SSID is invisible.

Surfing internet or using other apps on the phone or tablet is not an issue. All are fine.

Just the Airties WIFI app not working,when SSID is invisible.

Once I turn either of the 2.4 or 5 GHz channel visible back on, it can work.

first setup will be better in view of single SSID and roaming ability..

Bro if
Router/modem place it in the DB Box (Off Wireless, use as switch).
1.LAN Connect the router to mesh 1 in the living room.
2.LAN Connect the router to mesh 2 in the masterbed room

Lan connect the router to mesh 2 in the masterbed room using samsung mesh. So masterbedroom cannot watch singtel tv? Pls advice. Thanks.

I am actually setting up 4 Airties for friend at double storey house.

Can i know is it good enough that i set all 4 airties with the same SSID and password or they still must "sync" with each other ? When i check under advanced setting, i see 0% for the mesh value. Thanks

can elaborate please ? i set all 4 with same SSID and PW so i move around the wifi just auto switch but i see 0% for the mesh% value so was wondering if there is such thing as syncing all 4 together ? thks

The mesh nodes are being synced together as a pair out of factory. So when you are setting up 4, you need to use the app to add additional nodes, or use the WPS button to pair additional nodes.

All 4 nodes must have a good wifi connection with each other before you can link them up via the app, and that the app will show you the connection backhaul.

If you choose to run ethernet backhaul, this is the best set up for large homes and you should try this first instead of wireless backhaul.

You also just need to set up once for the credentials and all will be synced together, you have no option to set separate SSIDs and password for every node anyway.

thks ! As i got 4, i actually reset all 4 of them and sync them one by one using the WPS to the main node. All 4 are running on ethernet backhaul and all 4 has the same SSID and PW. However, i am not sure if they are really sync together as i remember last time when i am using 2 at home, the mesh value is like 78% when i check under one of the node advanced settings. Now i get 0% for all 4 of them. I can access all 4 node individually by going into 192.168.1.56,57,58,59 so i am puzzled if i have set up 4 seperate mesh with same SSID and PW or they are indeed mesh together as one.
