Hi ahkrong,

Has the connectivity issue been resolved? If not you can PM us your Singnet ID and contact details and we can get our fibre team to try to help.

Thanks.

Sorry but I'm a noob. How do i reduce the bandwidth? Or is there a step by step that i can reference to? Thanks a million.

Currently using AirTies 4920.
Realise that there is no guest wifi network feature for AirTies 4920?
Did some research and found out that guest wifi network is available on the Askey AP5100W.
Both AirTies 4920 and Askey AP5100W are $10 per month.

Have anyone tried calling Singtel to see if it's possible to swap the AirTies 4920 to the Askey AP5100W?

Hi Weaboo,

If we are understanding you correctly, your intended setup is:

Singtel ONR ---wireless--> Askey AP5100W Mesh (1st node) ---Ethernet cable--> desktop/laptop

Based on such a setup, our broadband product team notes that you should be able to enjoy up to 1Gbps speeds in typical scenarios. However, do note that actual performance is dependent on a multitude of factors including but not limited to:

- distance between router and mesh node
- walls in your premises
- cable type used in your wired connection
- potential interference from other WiFi networks in the vicinity

Hope this helps, thanks.

Hi Singtel,

Do you mean the following below?

Clients connected to the AirTies_Air4920_GUEST wireless network are able to access the AirTies Management page and the Singtel WiFi Gigabit Router AC Plus Management page.

This should not be the case right? There should be some form of network/VLAN segregation to prevent clients on the guest network from interacting with clients on the main wireless network.

Hi Weaboo,

Our Askey AP5100W comes with one Ethernet cable in the box intended for connecting to the router.

To connect additional devices, you can purchase an Ethernet cable with an FJ45 connector and we suggest a CAT5e/6 cable for better performance.

yes

Hi Giroman,

Our broadband product team confirmed that the network segregation feature that you asked about, is yet to be available on the AirTies 4920 currently.

Thanks.

There is a new Mesh in the market which is the Aztech WMB250AC

It has four extra LAN ports that you can able to use in case you need additional LAN connections

As installed one to my boss house, the speed is really good and the connection is stable

I think Aztech is trying to redeem themselves that is why they launch a good product:s13::s13::s13:
