Suggest getting the Airties, Ashkey or their other offered wifi mesh device. If you are not technically inclined, get their technician to install and test it on the spot.

If I’m not wrong their WiFi mesh plan comes w a pair of askey WiFi mesh. Should I get that? Yup we are not too tech savvy so likely will be getting their technician to install & test. We were deciding between the normal 1gbps router & WiFi mesh; worried that there will be parts of the hse that would face poor signal & to get another router would cost an additional $10 monthly on top of the existing broadband plan. Which is not really worth it...

i believe Singtel will only issue one a new set of Askey wifi mesh, and inform end user to turn off wifi radio of the singtel issued routers. It will be a backend logistical hassle for them to changeover ONT to ONR.

i can't comment on which preferable use as I do not have Askey wifi mesh, though I have done such setup at a relative's place and followed back the ONT + Aztech router set up.

i have set up 7003 connected to the askey mesh and have switched off the wifi for the 7003. do i have to set it up as bridging mode? or i can just leave it as it is. i am currently connecting a synology diskstation to it

anyone know if the askey mesh wired ethernet backhaul can be used to connect to my pc? i.e. my pc will share the backhaul connection to the ONR...

if this is possible, any impact to the throughput at the pc?

diskstation wired connected to 7003? in this case the askey should set it up as bridging mode so as all wireless devices can see the wired devices connected to 7003.

i have a few wired devices such as the miotv, diskstation connected directly to 7003 as the askey has not much gigabit port. how do i go about setting askey as the bridging mode? i can only access 7003 router page through 192.168.1.254, not sure where is the router page for askey. i use the app also dun have.

sorry, i googled off the web, askey only operates by default as an AP and no other mode is available.

if you are able to find out the askey's IP address e.g 192.168.1.### then i think you can further explore it's settings via the web browser UI.

Just go for only the router first and check the speed. From the furthest point of the router, test the speed. If you only attain double digit speed (mbps), suggest you subscribe to the wifi mesh which should exceed at least 100 mbps from the same furthest point.

I am looking to recontract my Singtel Fibre to the Askey Mesh.
However, I'm currently using an ONT on the 1st floor which connects to a 3rd party wireless router on the 2nd floor.
Will Singtel come to change my ONT to a ONR so that I would not need to use the 3rd party wireless router anymore?

you still can use with other isp, but u lose firmware upgrade forever. firmware can only be upgraded through singtel network and through its own residential gateway.

Jus wondering is 2 pack AirTies 4920 sufficient for 5 room hdb ?

2 is enough from living room to mbr. however, toilet may not be strong enough.

im using 4 cos managed to find another cheap pair. whole hus full bar.:s12::s12::s12:

i did think of upgrading to 4930 but i don think there will be any improvements since im able to reach wifi download speed of 350mbps in the same room as the mesh, using note 8.

i have tried the askey, performance worst den airties. LOL
