ONT -- AirTies -- AC Plus (WiFi off?). If WiFi Off, what is the use of the AC Plus? Used as a Ethernet switch?

As for the speed, do you mean the wireless speed or wired speed?

If it is wired speed, then you need to contact SingTel to troubleshoot. You may need to replace the ONT.

If it is wireless, then it is pretty normal as the speed depends on the client too. Most of the clients are at most 2x2 AC and the theoretical max speed is 866Mbps but practically you will not get that. What is the client used for testing?

Hi Xiaofan thanks for your kind reply. Yes the Ac Plus is currently used as kind of a switch. I connect my miotv and smarttv to it now.

The speed is referring to wireless speeds, as i am using my phone to test at the moment. iPhone 8sPlus. I will try connecting my macbook pro with the ethernet cable and test the speed. Thanks for the information!

I think you can reuse, but no way to update FW if you are not using SingTel Fibre.

In the end it will be easier to sell away and then buy a new one for your new ISP. I bought cheap TP-Link Deco M4 and it is not bad (AC1200, S$99 a pair from Challenger now, usual price S$119 a pair). Of course you can buy better ones.

Or use the Airties until got problems and then bring to your friend place with Singtel Fibre and hope to get FW updates which may or may not sort out your problem. If not then buy a new Mesh for your new ISP.

Hi Singtel,
am i able to get another node of Airties 4930 at $5/mth ?
am currently still paying $15/mth for a pair of 4930 (not sure how many months left of 24 months) ...
if yes, do i need to contact 1688 first, or just head down to + Serv @ Orchard Central ?
Thanks

hi,
any luck resolving this on your own yet ?
coz i also thinking of getting additional sets to add onto mine ... but fear might face same situation as you did

Singtel, i'm currently using the Airties 4920 (2 units) for 2 years. Yesterday,i purchased 2 more 4920 units from online(used units) and was unable to get connection for it.

Reset had been done for the 2 new units and both units shown 5g and 2.4g were connected (green light). But there was no wifi connectivity for the 2 units and when i checked via the ip under MESH tab, it shows that both of them had 0% connection. I'm unable to check the firmware too for this 2 units.

Hi all,
I face the exact same problem. How do you resolve this?

Hi,
I am also getting this message on my air ties app:
Warning: You are connected to your home gateway, not an AirTies Node. Please turn your gateway's wireless feature off to use the high performance AirTies wireless network.

I am also getting erratic wifi performance. My devices loses wifi connection intermittently. I have already restarted the Singtel ONR and airties modules.

How can I troubleshoot the issue?

Thank you.

So a little update on how I managed to get it working.

I went to the Samsung store and send it in.

They pair it up for me on the spot. According to them, some units have this sort of behavior. I also paired the other unit together with my main mesh.

Took it back home and plug into the router or in my case fibre point->ONR->Router->wall socket->eternet switch->main Mesh

I didn't attempt to re-pair/reset the mesh at home in the fear that I have to go down and set it all up again.

The Samsung tech guy says there is nothing wrong with the unit. So technically I have not much idea why it works when I pair at their place instead of my place.

I can confirm that all my router ports are working and wifi was fine initially when I started the setup process as I tested all the ports on my router with my laptop to see if there is a good internet connection.

Jojo, what’s the wifi speed you get on the Samsung? I am getting 20-40mb ... it sucks. Any idea how to overcome it?

My router wifi ssid is disabled but if I connect to it... I get 300-400mb... but if I use the Samsung ssid (even its it’s next to the router) I am getting 20-40mb

red means your nodes are too far apart if you did follow the proper set up instructions
u can try bringing your 2nd node next to your primary node and set up
if it goes green, unplug and position it where u initially intended and see if it’s green or still red

Hi everyone, newbie here hoping for some advice. I subscribe to Whizcomms 300mbps package and am using the Airties 4930. I currently only have one mesh unit set up since i don't need 2. So the Airties 4930 is plugged in directly to the ONR (Gb etehrnet port to LAN1). I get a strong signal as well. But here's the prob: only ny mobile devices can connect to network and browse the internet. Other devices can't. Android TV can detect the wifi network and connect but gives an "ip config failure" msg. Similarly my windows laptop says "connected, internet not available". Have tried assigning static IP instead of DHCP, no luck. Noticed that the IP on the devices that succesfully connected to the wifi is like 202.133.194.XX and router is 202.133.194.xx. I've been trying to access the admin page of the Airties mesh to no avail.
Can someone here kindly advise on:
1) what the problem may be?
2) how to access the admin page for Airties 4930 mesh? Have tried 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1, etc. Also tried h××p://air4930.local but the page wont connect, even when I plug a LAN cable direct from my laptop to the mesh unit.

Appreciate any help anyone can give, thanks in advance!

Try download the AirTies WiFi App and configure from there on your mobile phone.

Thanks, have tried that but it doesn't resolve the prob, just says no Airties nodes found. Does anyone know how to access the admin page for the Airties 4930 mesh?
