Not confirm. got to do some survey on noise pollution for lvl 2.
See your comfort level. I stayed level 2 for several years last time, below got whole row of shops. Human talking noise not really that bad, vehicle noise was worse, car horns very irritating.

Can I know did you includes your mum's particulars when applying this BTO? If you included your mum as a occupier in this BTO. I think you got a good reason to ask them to waive if only type 1 flats are available. Some of the HDB staffs are quite understanding. Likely won't kena banned for 1 year.

For flat booking, i just need to bring
1. NIRC
2. Invitation letter (show the security guard)
3. Annex (go there print)
4. $500

Correct?
NRIC and annex ownself print.
must show the HDB SMS invite to the guard.
$500 either NETS or Cash

they should split type 1 and type 2 applicants.... very obvious people don't want type 1. rubbish hdb. :cautious:

Huh you can go hdb portal see mah the type 1 and 2 units taken. Is the same
Most applicants will take type 2 over type 1.
For every 10 applicants, 0~3 applicants will take type 1. The majority still prefer type 2. (even low flooring)

Renting out presents another set of problem

If want to rent out best is to rent out whole unit in bare condition. How much destruction can the tenant do short of burning the whole place down?

If need a post move out cleaning just pass $100 to your neighbourhood Mangala to gao tim. Confirm do swee swee.

If you throw in with furnishings take it as a write off from the beginning. Not a problem if your furnishings are from upcycling or bought cheap from China online platforms.

For Type 2 it is already very squeezy if there are 2 occupants.

Even more so for Type 1.

i will go for woodlands.
then be it lousy unit or type 1, i will just take it.

from chencharu experience, people are desperate for housing.... even is lousy unit.
those get single or double digits ballot no. really blessed.

i admire this applicant in the morning... come in hoot type 1 lvl 2. :)
