think normal users will tend to choose the more bright more saturated display. liked going to departmental store buying TV, consumers will likely choose the one with max brightness and saturation.

Apple's LCD is always muted or neutral. which i appreciate.

Have you gotten the phone? It does not require you to look head on

Anyone tried to trick faceid to recognise your backside?

Can unlock with backside?

Sure 5million views on youtube if any female youtuber do it.

Disappointed with the screen. Quality is amoled but feels lcd. And overall felt smaller than my iPhone 8+.
Maybe I will wait for apps to be optimized further then judge.
Many are starting to cool off and realized that iPhone X wasn’t ideal.

It’s perfect for iPhone 7,8 users but not for + users.

I came from 7+ to X, I honestly don't feel the + width is a big deal. Maybe because I use portrait most of the time.

Only irritation now is waiting for apps to be updated so that it takes advantage of the extra height

If one is not prepared to take the plunge then wait for display sets to come out in shops & hands on before u decide. I would have thought thats obvious.

Why would someone who is not prepared to take the plunge, simply blow such a large amount of $ without even test driving it?

Too much $ to throw away? Or just want to big cannon fairy to ppl that "hey i got an ipx"?

Why are u playing lowest graphic on the 'best' phone of Apple? Lol
Pokemon Go is the fastest to heat up. It gets to a temperature I would stop, remove my case and cool it down. (Didn't turn on AR/camera, use indoor not under the sun)
Mobile legend also heats up the phone, not as bad but I feel the heat faster compared to my older phone.
Final Fantasy, it's about the same as mobile legends
Even taking photos or using the animoji heat up the phone easily

I had tested on iPhone 7plus. Best graphics setting bs lowest I can’t see any difference lah. Even on iPhone 7plus screen also too small to see any difference. However lowest setting definitely helps to save battery life =D

Btw, I’m surprise Animoji can heat up the phone. I didn’t play it so much. So far I feel that when phone gets warm or heated up, it is always near the camera location. Not sure will affect the camera in long run or not.

My iphone x is very hot... even when restoring data from icloud... downloading apps. After apps download. Then just surfing safari, messaging... and it doesnt cool off easily. Not that kind of warm but it is hot. When updating the software, they say that cannot install now due to icloud not complete restore. So when i check icloud i got a very weird error message which neither i nor google have seen it before.

Anyone can advise if your iphone x is very hot to touch? I have not put any cover on it.

Message 'restoring from icloud is paused and will resume when this iphone cools down'

Mine gets very hot during restore data and downloading of all the apps. Never have an iPhone get so hot in the past during restore. After that it doesn’t get to that hot anymore. I hope this happen only during the first initial setup stage.

from 7 plus to X, regretted and swap with my friend note 8 to test. never look back, unless to 8 plus haha. Face ID sucks not 100% work everytime. And the side bezel so thick not as if its fully bezel-less, hope next year they do something about the notch and bezel

So far no because i backup on my pc.
But I’m a bit worried that the size of photos and videos might increase a lot.

What’s your current usage and free storage left now?

Photo size probably the same if coming from 7 but video size should increase if recording at 4K @ 60fps

really ? but why ? :s22:
it still is one of the easiest and most secured way to unlock your phone..

He super fanboy one, if you read all the posts.

Maybe remove display he also applaud them. :s13:

No doubt I think FaceID is great, but I personally think it would be even better to have both with option for users, or you could even enable a 2 tiered security IMO.

Eg, you can use either FaceID or TouchID to unlock, but to pay say above $100, you need to both use TouchID and FaceID to authorise the payment, with the ID at the back like most Android phones so holding it is as normal.
