Thanks, wasn't sure if ANZ would only credit the amount in the next bill. Will keep a look out!

By the way, I used the 5% dining to earn cash rebate from my wedding banquet, the savings were substantial. :s13: Couples having their weddings soon can check if their banquet venue has an eligible merchant code.

need to rmb to break into $600 blocks to swipe. otherwise u only get $30 rebate even if your banquet cost 20k.

Yep, the manager was very accommodating, served us drinks and told us to chill while he swiped the card in multiples of $600. :o

Beware tnc excludes wedding banquet from optimum$. So if got the optimum$ already better be discreet, they can always take back the optimum$.

We were initially worried if ANZ would flag the multiple $600 transactions, but luckily nothing happened.

I had my wedding at a restaurant, so it is not considered a wedding banquet. The merchant code for my restaurant was accepted by the OCBC 365 card and ANZ Optimum for dining rebates.

actually can cham siong with hotel banquet manager to swipe as hotel restaurant spend rather then wedding banquet.
my close fren did that but unfortunately he forgot to choose the quarterly option of ' dining' LOL. in the end he only got 1 % rebate

That sucks man. If the banquet was $20k, 4% loss is already $800 :( I found that the best combination was OCBC365 (weekend 6%) and ANZ (5%). Arranged with the manager to go down to the restaurant monthly on weekends to utilise the 6% (max $1,300 on the card), and then balance using the 5%. Ended up saving quite a lot.

But hotel ballroom kind of banquet hard to earn rebates I think. :/

There are actually better cards for dining than ocbc365 eg uob yolo, boc family and cimb visa signature

Oh I see, in that case it is a fully legitimate transaction and you have nothing to worry about.

Lol fact is it is still wedding banquet, so by right not legitimate, by left keep the rebate and be discreet before the banking find a way to differentiate wedding banquet from other transactions.

Spending below $10

E.g $8.35 @ 5% = $0.41

Am I entitle for the rebate???

Get 0.4 optimum$ for this transaction (ie
Rounded down to nearest 0.1 optimum$). At the end of statement month, optimum$ earned in the month are all summed up, then rounded down to nearest 1 optimum$.
