if I not wrong is around 1.1%
Still not too bad lah. Sure Amex TCB is 1.5% but not everyone accepts Amex. And there are some others offering higher but must have minimum spend some more its per quarter. All things considered, if its 1.1% I think still worth it lah.

Thanks. Seems no one can agree on the next best card though for cash rebates. :s13:

For me, I use frank 6% for online purchase, mrt and shops that accepts nets flash pay. No one shops at brick and mortar anymore, all shop online cos much cheaper.

Only place that you have to go physically to shop is grocery for the points and travel agency for travel. I will use ANZ Optimium for the 5% rebate for them both.

You have to choose one or the other; can't have both. Remember there is a $600 cap per transaction (stated as a $30 cap on rebate per transaction in T&C). So it may not be so attractive for travel purchases, since these tend to be big-ticket items. As a grocery cash-back card, ANZ Optimum seems fine if you choose that option, though for now Stanchart Singpost card is carrying out that duty for me. I know Singpost card is changing its rebate scheme 1st of July, so I may have to apply for this card before then.

But there is no monthly rebate cap or min spending for ANZ Opti. SCB Singpost has a monthly rebate cap of $50 and need a minmium spending of 500 lollar...

I'm aware of that, but for now my spending patterns are in line with those restrictions. All cards have their own peculiarities. For ANZ Opti, the issues are:

(1) Rebates are awarded for each $10 spend. So if you spend $9.99, you get nothing; $19.99, you get $0.50 (2.5%); $99.99, you get $4.50 (4.5%).
(2) You need to accumulate $50 in rebates before you can get it credited to your account.
(3) You need to register your preferred category with ANZ every quarter. If you forget, you get only 1% rebate on all spend during the following quarter.

(1) and (2) are not dealbreakers, just a little annoying. (3) is a bigger issue for a forgetful person like me.

That said, I am seriously considering taking up ANZ Opti when the SCB Singpost changes its rebates on grocery spend on 1 July.

Anz Opti has paypass. Does that mean besides the ntuc link points rebate and the 5% rebate, I will also get additional $1 off for more than $50 spent in ntuc if i pay via pay pass?

Does this card get points from the tax payment facility like the other ANZ cards?

The is good for husband-and-wife tag-team with 2 cards. One spouse to choose grocery and the other to choose travel rebates.:D

Keep in drawer from april onwards lor.

Anyway, new to bank card members (those who are entitled to $88), your selection at application is valid for current and next quarters.

9. For New-to-Bank Cardmembers, the Category selected upon application will be valid for the remaining
calendar quarter (based on the date of application approval) and the subsequent calendar quarter. Thereafter,
Cardmembers who do not select a Category on or before the due date for the following calendar quarter,
will only be awarded Optimum$ under the Core Tier in that calendar quarter and each subsequent calendar
quarter until a Category selection is eventually made.
