I'm going Australia this friday for 10 days, was wondering if it would be better to use ANZ card at Australia? or should i activate CIMB/DBS cards?

Anyone got experience on this? like ANZ give better conversion rate in Australia? hahaha

Using mastercard conversion rates, anz cards dun give better conversion rates in australia.

Thanks bro, haha sadly the only mastercard i have is ANZ optimum.. lolol..

Actually currency conversion rate for visa/amex/masters etc are all comparable. The key consideration should be to maximise (the rebate/points less currency conversion fee for the card).

hey guys, im doing card waiver for the first time. i have forgotten that my card annual cycle ends on 24 Mar, and I have made transactions after 24 Mar.. meaning to say if my annual fee waiver gets turned down im screwed?

or on the next billing cycle i can still pay my remaining fees - annual fee then cancel.

Yes that's the standard practice. Anyway got send sms or email right? I remember doing it straight away after receiving the reminder. Just take it as a lesson learned lor...

Checked online still not in. I had it with banks promising a certain deadline but a lot of times fail to meet. But without fail will charge you late fee etc

i duno why ANZ doesnt hire locals for the hotline... all of them are so loooong winded and doesnt reply straightaway to the point everytime...

Anyways, they will be late and crediting will be done by next week, should be on a weekday but the CSO is not 100% certain :vijayadmin:

Wow... is it they realise too many ppl got rebates. Now they don't want to pay... this is a first man...

If it really happens, just spread to newspaper and online sites their reputation will take a huge dive. Maybe people will start pulling out from this bank that has cashflow issues

I have been dining at Sakae Sushi twice for the past 2 months using this card but didn't receive the 5% cashback? How does this cash back works? This card seems like a very troublesome to use...
