I won in Feb but yet get in April, if you read the sms clearly, it says it is pending for the bank approval, which means if we win may not be approved too? :s22:

The bank told me b4 that if u received the sms indicated the amount , then it will be given to u. If u called after 1st 500, then u will hv received another type of sms informing that it is fully claimed for the day.

Any one knws how to use the Optimum$? how to use to offset the bill?

You can use 50 optimum$ to redeem to offset $50 credit card bill. https://sg.anz.com/onlineapp/faces/optimum_rewards/redemption.jsp

Some months ago (Nov-Dec 2015) there was this promo whereby card users spend $100, they can get between $1 to $9 if they sms in and get a reply confirmation .

Did anyone manage to get the amount credited? as cash credit or Optimum$ ?

Got mine in my latest statement. Is in

Applied through phone to waive off annual fee for anz optimum but was rejected. Talked to CSO they said decision from management is final. So I cancelled it.

Guess the bank is going down trend and not doing well that is why so strict. despite us spending 1-2k each month.

I'm sure if anz change their cashback system to actual cash instead of optimum, there will be many users

i still think its a decent card though, because be it actual cash rebate or optimum $, as long as u do it right u can still get 5% rebate. which is more than most CCs and consider that there is no min spend / month for this card. only problem i have with this card is that it is not true 5% in the sense that only it is given on per $10 basis. so unless u spend in denominations of $10, your effective rebate will probably be around 4.x%

Every $2 spend under the 5% earn 0.1optimum$. At the end of the statement month rounded down to nearest optimum$.

well.... more people cancelling this card would mean that ANZ bank will have to come up with even better benefits to attract more new users

has anyone been able to waive the annual fees successfully?

if not, I will have to make sure i redeem most of my optimum$ near the 1 year mark and then keep the card in drawer...

with the number of roundings and limitations to cash out, not really an attractive card at all

I use this card mainly for the dining rebate as we spend quite a bit on dining outside and after all the roundings it is still about 2.5% rebate also I pay my SingTel and starhub bill on this card. Posb everyday need to do giro to get 1%. I hate to do giro. I want the flexibility to change cards.

If the annual fee cannot be waived, then I will surely cancel this card.

But I wonder which card to use that gives atleast 2% rebate on dining without any minimum monthly spend.

I just use OCBC365 for dining. It's awesome.
