service getting from bad to worse, and guess this also means AppleCare+ not worth it anymore especially if you're the kind who would paste tempered glass and use case.

if AC+ can't even help with battery replacement then what's the point of getting. few days ago at Apple Store buying an iPhone 11 the sales person kept trying to Push AC+ to me also and oveheard other sales people trying to psycho customers into it.

is this Apple new direction? make us spend more money but with subpar service

Nah. Don’t think Apple service dropped. I was allowed to change my battery for my iPhone X at 88%. I didn’t do it because of my OS was running beta and wasn’t allowed.

They have a fish face. When my xs refused to power on last oct and I went to Apple Orchard during my lunch time and they kind of “roll their eyes” when I said I am in a hurry. I am working and this is my lunch time. Those are the staff standing with iPads on 2nd floor.

Even the Genius Bar did not show urgency and just replaced my phone when his diagnostic could not show why the xs won’t power on. Just going through the motions.

Well this is Singapore service standard for you. Write to Apple orchard and feedback about their service standard.

Precisely - that’s what I harp upon for my iPhone X last year too. They even brought along the manager which I know there’s no point as it just meant they will be +2 and I’m only 1 person. Moreover their own Apple stuff mention battery replacement confirm replace for you before I make an appointment the day before at the Store. I wish I could send an email to complain on the manager man

Yup ..charges us such premium price for their iphone and applecare+ (keeps increasing every new model) but service getting so shitty now. Iphone x will be my last phone with them.

Oh and guess what...so far i did not receive any survey request. Shows how shitty they are becoming.

Wah got Apple Care also reject you WDF. :s22: I think maybe gotta do with the head of retail store being changed. Last time under the Angela, more focused on customer service. Now changed ppl alr.

Got use if we were to write to them ?

The general process of things is that you'll have to make an appointment with them via Apple Support app or the support website.

Most of the time they are already booked days ahead and rarely got time and space to fit walk in that have to hurry.

Seriously make the booking instead, Walk-ins are only allocated a few resources a day as they do inventory for support bookings mostly. You will get a MUCH BETTER experience when booking appointments cause not all the time they can cater to walk-in.

Mine is appointment. That’s why I went in they just know my name and everything. Ask me what I need. I just say the iPhone X is a good phone, I loved it a lot. So I want to change battery and use 1 more year. She just proceed to change for me. That’s why I’m puzzled, why service take such a drastic turn. I can understand if you don’t have appointment then go down, they sure reject you.

Oh and the explanation from them that my last year iPhone X I could change my battery as well even though at 97% was because last year they had the published article on batteries defect hence all iPhone X can change. Lol...

I don't think that the standard at Apple has dropped. In fact, I feel that it's maybe the consumers' expectations from them have yet to be adjusted?

Apple announced the $38/free battery replacement for the year 2018 to apologize for their performance throttling.

It is currently already Sept 2019, and people are still expecting to enjoy the same promotion(?)

The promotion ended in 2018, it's unreasonable to ask for complimentary battery replacements especially if battery health is above >80% as clearly stipulated in their T&Cs.

Yes the 2018 exercise is a one-off
