Haha I cannot see the dust issues on my xs. Anyway it doesn’t matter cos my warranty just expired and yes. They refused to change my 86% battery and I did not do their email survey

Can’t spot dust...that should be the way Apple upholds their QC! I’m just one of those unlucky ones. Your XS depletes quite fast 86%. My XS Max was at 98% when I just sold it off.

So a bigger battery mAh capacity does play a part in upholding the battery health capacity from daily usage.

But I do know gamers especially those who play graphic intensive games 5v5, their battery health capacity depletes the fastest.

My xs was a replacement phone in white box last oct when it refused to power on. I bought it last Sep. Just hope this xs can last till next year Sep to recontract.

Ya, definitely will last for another year. iPhone’s durability is renowned. Wah you also very lucky. Within a month of purchase your XS can’t on in Oct’2018. Care to share what apps you use to deplete the battery health so fast within a year bro?

Just tried to make replacement for XS, with a battery level below 90% but above 80, the Apple guys won’t give in despite saying my battery is still functioning and within warranty. Really wasted my trip down, saying battery if still functioning well and change must pay $99.

As Long as the battery is above 80% and supporting normal peak performance they won’t change like in my case.

They have a fish face. When my xs refused to power on last oct and I went to Apple Orchard during my lunch time and they kind of “roll their eyes” when I said I am in a hurry. I am working and this is my lunch time. Those are the staff standing with iPads on 2nd floor.

Even the Genius Bar did not show urgency and just replaced my phone when his diagnostic could not show why the xs won’t power on. Just going through the motions.

Why the experience now is so much different compared to my experience when I went to apple store to change battery on my iPhone X. I just say I want change battery. They just proceed to change for me. My battery health was just only 90+%.

Precisely - that’s what I harp upon for my iPhone X last year too. They even brought along the manager which I know there’s no point as it just meant they will be +2 and I’m only 1 person. Moreover their own Apple stuff mention battery replacement confirm replace for you before I make an appointment the day before at the Store. I wish I could send an email to complain on the manager man

I have Apple care and I wanted to change my battery at 88% but was rejected too. Now it’s at 85% and it’s draining fast.

Has anyone managed to change for free despite not being 80% and below?

Yup ..charges us such premium price for their iphone and applecare+ (keeps increasing every new model) but service getting so shitty now. Iphone x will be my last phone with them.

Oh and guess what...so far i did not receive any survey request. Shows how shitty they are becoming.

Yea. They said only 80% and below then can change for free. My Apple care expires in November. I can only hope it drops to 80% before that 🤣
