I'm wondering about my iPhones X and XS Max.

iPhone 7 dropped support last year. So iPhone 8/X will be probably drop support 2023/2024 if it follows the trend. Then XS Max thereafter

Not sure about this tho..

iPhone 8 discontinued approx. 7 months after iPhone discontinued.
iPhone X discontinued approx. 1 year BEFORE iPhone 7.
Well, discontinued may or may not mean stop of sales. Haha!

Nevertheless iPhone 8 is the next in line to be dropping support, just a matter of when only.

I know my 7 and 7+ cannot be updated anymore, but just got the X to iOS 16.3.1 the other day

Probably for case for warranty/Apple care i guess? (<80% Battery health) Correct me if I'm wrong haha!

If out of warranty service I think your battery health 99% also can change new. Pay $ only ma

within warranty and want it to be changed for free then must be below 80%, if not you can pay and they will still change

This weekend I made appointment to change battery for my iPhone 8 Plus hahaha! Hope can prolong the lifespan of it. I only use for work purpose, whatsapp/sms/calls, and it's the last white-front iphone Apple release to date haha!

whoa iphone 8 from 2017, going 6 years already sept 2023. how time flies.

Took less than 2 hrs to replace the battery for me. My appt was at 11am.

My 7+ also still working, but battery life is bad. The port also got problem, so I suspect apple will want to change the port too if they were to replace the battery.

Used about 6 months now battery health 93% liao haha!

But i love the looks(white front) of the phone. Plus it's the perfect work phone (for me)

So this weekend plan to change an original apple battery to prolong lifespan

Never try never know. At most they reject then maybe find reputable hp shop & change 3rd party oem battery haha!

now if change battery or other parts, it will show in the settings menu which part and the date it was changed and whether it was changed with genuine apple parts.

Yep, though if because of that replacement and the 3rd party removed some parts, they may not go ahead with replacement.

I think 93% still good le. Go below 85 can consider liao.
