Still thinking whether to buy for ip14.
If I'm a every Yr change new iPhone.. Wu hua to buy ac+ even from the first day?

If I confirmed changing iPhone every year, I'll most probably not get AC+. Just be more careful and hope nothing happens that's beyond what's covered in the default 1-year warranty. Worst case just go buy another one. That should make me more careful.

How one who keeps changing iPhone yearly play ah? They sell their set in carousell or trade in at telco.

no. ac+ can prorate refund de.

ya can ... as long as u are ready to off load your phone.. then can call them to cancel applecare and get back the prorated refund

or actually can ask the buyer whether want to pay the amount you would have gotten back in refund so that they can continue to enjoy the AC for as long as it runs

Hi need to provide the call centre what info to cancel ac+? Phone serial or the email account? Never had ac+ before so don't know what it's tag to...

To refund you need the AppleCare+ agreement number and also your bank account details for the refund to be credited.

I like to use phone naked without case nor screen protector. Hence Apple care is especially useful, towards the end of apple care usually your battery health will be already below 80% or have some other deep glass scratches, with that you can request for a refurbished unit which is as good as new to use for the next couple of years!

Battery health now 85% which i dun think it will reach below 80% by the time warranty end.

Replacement of battery at apple is ard $100 right?
Applecare+ screen or back replace fee is $42.

For the $42 is they will change a complete refurish phone for you or they just change the screen? Thinking if can request for screen replacement paying $42 and get a new battery.

Just a simple phone case can protect your phone and a cheap $15 Tempered Glass Screen Protector would have saved the cost of your iPhone Screen Repair for your "deep glass scratches".

As for phone battery after 2 years, it's just a $99 replacement.
So, after 2 years, a new $15 screen protector + $99 for battery replacement will cost less than 1/3 the price of AppleCare+ plus the service charge for the screen replacement.

That totals up to $369 + $42 = $411 for AppleCare+ screen replacement + battery replacement at the end of the 2 year warranty.
vs..
$15 + $99 = $114 for tempered glass screen protector replacement + battery placement at the end of 2 years.
Since its still way too cheap, let's include the price of a phone case to make it ever so slightly closer to the AppleCare+ value.
Oh well.. still too far in difference of value
Dun forget hor... accidental damage got service charge of $148 on top of your AppleCare+ if you are that careless but still dun want to use a case

from what I know. Phones with broken glass apple will not replace the battery without repairing the glass first which I guess cost a bomb.

like what I mention in the previous post, the possibility of getting glass crack is very high when using the phone naked; which I believe is the best way to use a phone.

in short, apple care lets you to carelessly use your phone without worrying about repair cost which is capped at $148 no matter how bad is the smashed

My thinking same as you. I change my phone yearly and if i were to get applecare plus each time i would have been losing the cost of 3 or 4 iPhones already.

it's not useless even if you want to upgrade in the case of accidental damage

i can sell it as damage phone or or buy new one or pay apple for the repair. It still cost less than the total cost if i were to get the applecare plus over the years.
