Lol! Actually screen protector + case already $100. Using china case + protector a bit pointless. It is like you drive maserati then you never buy insurance.
I use iPhone from Gen 1 to 11. Never dropped before until one day someone bang onto me without looking and my phone drop face down on the floor. Really knn! The guy didn’t even apologise and walk off. TMD! Lucky applecare save the day
This example, you want to say AppleCare saved the day also a bit hard. That's like saying, $369x11=$4059 for AppleCare that I finally get to use that one time because phone got scratched is so worth it.
When you have the option of when it comes, it comes and then I pay that $400+ charge for the screen change.
Purchase date. That’s why I got my AC+ for my 13PM last week, even though I got it on launch day last year.
2 years to get battery replacement is possible too. My 2x 12PM. 2 months to go, one 81% and one 85%. So likely can replace one of them before AC+ expires. For the 85% one, maybe not in time though but am hoping
This is great advice and use of the AppleCare+. But don't you only have 3 months to buy AppleCare+ from the date you use the device? How come you got to but AC+ for your 13 Pro Max last week when you got your phone on launch day last year?
If this actually works, thanks for the awesome tip!
The hassle of having to exchange your phone & ending up with refurb set. Anyway to each their own. I still got protector & case even with applecare.
I agree. At that point, if you upgrade 1 year later and the price of the used Pro Max becomes $1150 for example, if got screen damage, just minus away $300 and sell it for $850 on Carouhell is a lot more worth it than getting it exchanged via AppleCare+ at $369+$42=$411 and then attempting to sell it at $1150 but in reality, you are only selling at $739.
Or if 2 years, then if the trade in value of the Pro Max becomes $920, again minus $300 makes it $620 vs. $920-$411. So $509 of actual money you get from the same of the same iPhone Pro Max.
