seems like a completely reasonable price to pay for a made in china jersey,
and for being able to exlcusively rent a "high end" canyon race bike at 11 locations around the world namely in
amsterdam
manchester x2
london x2
new york
sydney
tokyo
San Fran
Osaka
Kilver town

Heng mine done in Italy, can rent Italian titanium bike also.

You're looking to put your gf on the rear rack? Forget it. I'm pretty well-versed with touring bikes and the rack won't take that weight. The best racks on the market may take the weight (88 lbs) but I don't think you can afford them.

Very surprised you are able to assess my financial status thru the forum :s13:

Anyhow the next time you decide to use such strong words, have some courtesy to reconsider.

Sidenote : I did google about the rear racks and I know of Tubus.

First off, if all of you simply cycle on the PCN you will never develop road awareness skills.

Second, it gives non-cyclists a bad impression that cyclists belong only on PCNs. It's a huge disservice to the cycling community if we self-ghetto ourselves.

Third, PCNs are dangerous. You have cyclists who are going too fast - much too fast for their skill level. You have all sorts of other users on them. Terrible.

Fourth, roads with light traffic are actually more dangerous because drivers will tend to speed and not pay attention. Roads with heavy traffic are safer as far as I am concerned.

Maybe one day some of us more experienced riders should offer one on one rides in heavy traffic?

It doesn't matter how slow the traffic, when u get side swipe or back bump andu fall on the path of a truck u get pin under the wheels of slow heavy vehicles .....

Just have to wait for the right time and the right place.

My most dreaded road is the road along Vivo city throughout whole Sg...there's a long stretch of road where u cannot take first lane else u end up in espress way n u have to stay at the center of the always heavy traffic.....

Maybe can discuss which road u guys fear most?

Ok, just an anecdote about the dangers of heavy vs light traffic.

Just got in about 20 mins ago from riding down to MBS. I rode down there along Seletar, YCK, Hougang and then on to ECP PCN after 5 pm. Heavy traffic, no problem at all.

Rode back and, within sight of my place, I almost get t-boned! This woman was making a u-turn and misjudged it, came within half a meter of my front wheel before she realized what was happening. This was on a four lane road with no other traffic in sight and I was running two front lights along with a helmet light.

Anyways, it just reinforces my belief that it's safer in heavy traffic. :(

Ride safe all!

Likelihood of getting hit during heavy traffic is higher, but for light traffic it might be more fatal maybe? There's a difference between frequency and severity.

Yeah, I would agree that the severity is higher with light traffic.

LOL! My apologies. I just assumed that if I can't afford them neither can you.

The only road that sticks in my mind is going up Mandai and there is a turnoff to the highway. Near the top of the hill...very difficult to take the lane due to your own slow speed and the heavy traffic.

Agree...

And not to mention its even more dangerous at about 1 plus am in the midnight. Those drivers who came out from vivo are likely to be intoxicated. Not to mention the heavy traffic there.

Not confident over lane changing.

for me, its the bedok north rd, just b4 the exit to PIE, you have to take the center lane to avoid entering PIE, uphill, then stay on center lane downhill to avoid cars exiting PIE.

Help. I am now looking at buying shimano zee from crc.
Cassette i chose 11-32t. But biggest chainring available for zee is only 38t. I understand zee rd can take big cogs of 32t and 52t chainring shouldn't be a problem. So if 32t cog + 38t chainring how to be fast enough? Though zee is for mtb; mine is foldie.

I should just use my current 9 speed 52t chainring?

Again i might consider 105 rd and roadbike cassette. But shifter will be a problem. Is 105 rd with xt shifter a proper pairing? Dont want to end up with lousy shifting.

Also how to know whether my foldie can fix 11 spd cassette or not? Necessary to change out my 9 speed chainring?
