Do you still sell speaker package (NS-P285) like this:
sg.yamaha.com/en/products/audio-visual/speaker-systems/speaker-packages/ns-p285_black__g/?mode=model
if so, could I have the price too and where can I get it?

I followed the dealer link, but when I went to few shops in Adelphi (01-17 & 01-19), I was told that they don't carry it anymore. It wasted few hours of mine. :(

Hi!

Sorry that i didn't know you were looking for NS-P285.

Please be informed that our dealers in Adelphi building don't carry all Yamaha products. We only allow them to sell our AV Receivers and HiFi Components in selective dealer basis.

If you wish to be sure all Yamaha products, please visit all our retailers like Best Denki or Courts. Only they are appointed to resell our full-range of products.

In your case of NS-P285, i'm afraid no one carry ready stock except ourselves as this is a package system in our retailers.

Please PM me your contact so i can contact you directly to guide you along.

Thanks bro for your support.

Cheers!

Few questions. Does the new YSP-4100 come with newest firmware (not sure if this firmware supports 3D output), or do I have to flash it?

Also, does the sound bar come with wall mount in the package or do I need to purchase it separately? Will be collecting my sound bar soon. Waited for a long time.

Hi! I have a YSP 1100, which I believe is out of warranty. I've used it probably less than 10 times, and today I found out it cannot be powered up. Can I know I have to send it down to your Paya Lebar office for servicing?

Hi!

Thank you for your purchase of YSP-4100.

You mentioned you waited for a long time, who did you purchase from?

1. YSP-4100 does not comes with latest firmware to support 3D function. But all YSP-4100 / 5100 owners can send to Yamaha Service Centre to do Free Firmware Update to latest version to support 3D.

2. All YSP-4100 package should comes with Free Wall-Mounting Bracket (SPM-K30). I'm not sure who you bought from, different retailers have different packages.

Let me know further so i can advice you correctly.

Cheers! :)

Hi!

Thank you for your purchase in Yamaha Home Theater.

Well, i would recommend you this relatively low in budget and sufficient for YST-SW215.

You can also purchase this in Best Denki Vivocity or Ngee Ann City.

Cheers!

Hi,

I got a decade old system - Yamaha RX-V793 amplifier paired with Yamaha NS-P50 (consisting of NS-C50 Centre spk and NS-E50 rear speakers) and Yamaha NS-A2836 (as main speakers).

I'm not sure if it is viable or worthwhile but I am looking to replace the above obselete RX-V793 with a new one and retain the use of the speakers. Looking to add in a subwoofer too.

I'm totally noob and out of touch on home theater system so would greatly appreciate if you could offer any advice/recommendation.

Thanks in advance!

Need advice as well

Hi Mr Yahama,

My setup is simple, I will be needing a 5.1 channel system for my PC, PS3, and also HD audio whatever that is.

A)
I am looking at the NS-P500 package speakers and hoping to add the A-S500 amplifier.

However, it seemed the amplifier only supports 2.1 channel only.

Are there any amplifier that supports the 5.1 package speakers?
Or the package speakers does not require any amplifiers to function at all.

Or

B) I can buy a 2.1 system by buying a

pair of speakers and a subwoofer.

and an amplifier?

In the website, there are Tuner, Intergrated tuners, Stereo Receivers, so many things, I am having a headache....arrr..... :s22: :s22: :s22: :s22: :s22: :s22: :s22:
why izzit so confusing?

Most importantly, my budget is ard 800 and preferably supports HD audio , too much to ask for?

Maybe you should write and add Music/sound/amplifier 101 in the beginning of your thread.

Missing Voice Audio on YAMAHA RXV-567 Presets

Hi everyone, I recently bought this set up:

YAMAHA RXV-567
Definition Infinity Procinema 600 Speaker
WDTV LIVE Media Player

And I was playing some 5.1 DTS 1080P MKV movies that I got, and I was playing around with the amp's CinemaDSP... when I was in the "Movie mode" choice of the presets. I can clearly hear the different sounds coming from different channels of the speakers.. BUT one thing weird is the voice of the actors can't be heard at all.

I tried all the presets from Movie to Music... all giving me same results... only when I select the 7 Channel Presets then all the audio can be heard.

Is there some wrong settngs in the amp? or its my video source.. But I tried couple of movies like Shooter, Transformers all giving me same results

Hi,

Jus bought a Yamaha YSP-2200 Soundbar (SB) having some problems. Resigned to live ewith it until i see this thread. Any input appreciated.

My other devices connected are

- Philips 46PFL6606
- Philips Blue Ray Player
- Starhub HD Box

Problems
1. Setup/Calibration of SB
My TV has no composite (RCA) conenction available. All HDMI only. I am unable to view the SB setup menus on the tv when connected by HDMI. I look through the SB menu and only reference to setup display is to the orange composite conenction on SB. So if my tv does not have composite conenction how do i set it up? Am i missing out something? Vidoe and Audio goes through HDMI but setup for the SB have to be done by the Orange RCA connection? Does not make sense to me.

2. I understood from the salesman my Starhub HD box I could choose to listen to audio from the TV or from the soundbar if i prefered. Meaning i could still watch starhub TV if the SB is turned off. However i am unable to do this function. If the SB is off, only video appears on tv without sound. I understand there may be function called HDMI Control which needs to be activated. I cant find any menu to activate this.

To avoid having to turn on the SB continously (I dun want to listen to Channel 5 news in surround!) i connect my Starhub HD direct to the tv - defeating the purpose.

3. Above problems happens with follwing conenction config.

YSP-2200 HDMI out into TV input HDMI1(ARC)
YSP-2200 HDMI 1 into Starhub Out
YSP-2200 HDMI 2 into BluRay Out

Please advise what i'm doing wrong.

Thanks in advance.

Purchased it from Audio House. So just to reconfirm, even new YSP-4100 does not come with the updated firmware. The sound bar is quite bulky to bring it down though. Haha.

As to the wall mount, I will check with Audio House. Waited long cause I was waiting for my house, so cannot ask them to deliver... :o

Hi!

Sorry for the late reply.

You could look into our RX-V771 to replace your existing V793.

Upgrade of your V793 mainly is due to HD Audio decoding factor from Blu-ray Discs and recent years CE Market has moved into HDMI Digital Interface for most of their products.

So an upgrading would be good now.

Let us know if you wish to have try on our V771.

Cheers!

Hi!

I think let's put it simple.

For Home Theater Amplifier, please see here.

For Speaker Systems, please see here.

For budget of $800, please see here.

I would recommend you MHT-371 at your budget. It will be available next weekend in Best Denki stores.

Cheers!

Hi!

I supposed you bought this Yamaha and Speaker system from KEC Sound System.

It is very rare that Centre channel do not have any sound output. Unless the speaker terminals is faulty. To know if it is faulty, change any other 4 speakers to connect to the centre channel speaker cable (Ensure connected correctly).

I recommend you to give a check on your connections.

Cheers!
