Purchased it from Audio House. So just to reconfirm, even new YSP-4100 does not come with the updated firmware. The sound bar is quite bulky to bring it down though. Haha.

As to the wall mount, I will check with Audio House. Waited long cause I was waiting for my house, so cannot ask them to deliver... :o

Hi!

Yes. Sorry all our YSP4100 have to bring to our Service Center to do free firmware upgrading.

Cheers!

like to ask the current Courts promotion on Yamaha Yht-294. How does this HT fair? Thanks

Hi!

Well, i would say it's a simple Home Theatre In A Box.

If you need something better than those All-in-One type, this will be a good choice.

Cheers!

Dear Yamaha-San,

Hope you will be able to help me out..

Hi,

Jus bought a Yamaha YSP-2200 Soundbar (SB) having some problems. Resigned to live ewith it until i see this thread. Any input appreciated.

My other devices connected are

- Philips 46PFL6606
- Philips Blue Ray Player
- Starhub HD Box

Problems
1. Setup/Calibration of SB
My TV has no composite (RCA) conenction available. All HDMI only. I am unable to view the SB setup menus on the tv when connected by HDMI. I look through the SB menu and only reference to setup display is to the orange composite conenction on SB. So if my tv does not have composite conenction how do i set it up? Am i missing out something? Vidoe and Audio goes through HDMI but setup for the SB have to be done by the Orange RCA connection? Does not make sense to me.

2. I understood from the salesman my Starhub HD box I could choose to listen to audio from the TV or from the soundbar if i prefered. Meaning i could still watch starhub TV if the SB is turned off. However i am unable to do this function. If the SB is off, only video appears on tv without sound. I understand there may be function called HDMI Control which needs to be activated. I cant find any menu to activate this.

To avoid having to turn on the SB continously (I dun want to listen to Channel 5 news in surround!) i connect my Starhub HD direct to the tv - defeating the purpose.

3. Above problems happens with follwing conenction config.

YSP-2200 HDMI out into TV input HDMI1(ARC)
YSP-2200 HDMI 1 into Starhub Out
YSP-2200 HDMI 2 into BluRay Out

Please advise what i'm doing wrong.

Thanks in advance.

Hi!

I supposed you bought this Yamaha and Speaker system from KEC Sound System.

It is very rare that Centre channel do not have any sound output. Unless the speaker terminals is faulty. To know if it is faulty, change any other 4 speakers to connect to the centre channel speaker cable (Ensure connected correctly).

I recommend you to give a check on your connections.

Cheers!

Spot on, I found out one of the cable to the center speaker is loose, tighten it up have solved it.

Now another problem i find out is there is no sound coming from my subwoofer anymore, I know it's not under your scope, but I suspsect I might have did some settings on the amp that causes this.

Is there a way that I can factory reset my yamaha RX v567? cant seems to find this anywhere on the manual or remote

Hi!

Great to hear that is working now.

As for Subwoofer, did you try going into the Manual Settings - Speaker Settings and see?

Let me know.

Cheers!

Hi!

I trust you saw V467 in Harvey Norman stores.

Yes. V467 is older model and all v71 series are latest models.

Main core is the USB for iPod/iPhone in V471 and V467 has to purchase iPod dock seperately.

Cheers!

Hi, not sure if this will help you, but I suggest you go to the audio setup page for the AC Ryan player and see if there's anything wrong with the settings. Just check audio out is enabled from HDMI?

Hope it helps....

Hi Yamaha,

I just bought the RXV771 and had a problem with scene selection. I had programmed the 1st preset scene to use HDMI1, (Switch ON TV) and Surround Decode. But whenever I turned on by pressing the scene, the sound from my source(PS3) will always come out from the TV speakers instead of my 5.1 speakers. The display also doesn't show the speakers(5.1) icons. I had to switch off the AVR and on it back to have the 5.1 icons back and sound will then come out from my speakers. May I know how to rectify this?

I also understand that pressing Surround Decode a few times will switch to PL music, PLmovie, PLII music, etc. But when I watch a bluray, sometimes it didn't work and only stays at surround decode with no option of choosing PL music, PL movie, PLII, etc. Something wrong with my settings?
