I came across inconsistent specifications on wi fi AC for NPFI and Padfone S.
Can users of these 2 phones attest if wi fi AC is supported?

because asus couldn't be bothered to update their recommended retail price (RRP)

more important is to look at the specs of the phone, and the sale price

thinking of buying Infinity since it is cheaper and the specs diff not much. but then read about the nano sim card problem where it cannot uses a cut nano sim.

to get singtel to change sim size, need to pay $40+.

to risk cutting it and damaging it, i will have to go down to their support center which is quite troublesome.

so it seems to save myself trouble, i should just go for padfone S instead.

what would you guys suggest? anyone with the cut nano sim problem?

I DIY my micro to nano. Have to cut accurately.
I think mine is slightly off signal not very good. Always 1 to 2 bar

if you can afford it, go for padfone s; not only is it newer, it is water & drop resistant

also may be easier to find case in tmall/taobao

But for $100 more... It seems excessive. Today Xiaomi red MI 2 is on sale on lazada. I have $50 coupon so it will only cost me $105. I am thinking if that is a more worthwhile spare phone.

redmi 2 is a low-end phone, not comparable to padfone infinity or padfone s

also, one is parallel import no warranty phone vs the other, local set with warranty

p.s. redmi 2 have 2 versions [1GB+8GB, 2GB+16GB], do check before you buy. most likely the version is 1GB+8GB for now...
