My of station doesn't respond when I insert the pf in. It will show an icon indicating pf not inserted correctly. Turns out the internal of the charging device on the pf was broken. That is why sm when I charge da pf it doesn't get charged or sm takes awfully long time to charge da device. BTW this isn't covered under warranty..

Oic hopefully mine is covered.

Can't really check for that..

But you can see each app eats up how much memory,
go to settings>apps>running

And if an app keeps crashing, then it is a signal.

If you don mind, you can remove all those non-popular apps first.
then slowly add them back 1 by 1..

(this is assuming that popular apps are coded properly)

ok thanks for the advise.

It requires the phone..
Just remember that padfone is essentially a phone with a supercharged tablet-accessory

yeah, but tablet version cant work with the arrow keys enabled...
:(

i wont use the arrow keys even if it worked.. both the screens of the padfone and tablet dock is big enough to easily move the cursor by dragging..

you think so?
well i feel often, especially during minor typos or wrong auto-corrections, it's very useful to move back 2-3 spaces to alter words...
i find touch-hold-dragging to be manifolds less efficient..

Any idea if the accessories are covered for 6mths? My charger's cable cannot be used to charge anymore. I confirm it by using the charger head and using another cable with micro usb to charge my padfone2.

Not sure about a new padfone so soon but I think that the next padfone should have these specs: (dream specs)

Phone:
5" 1080p Super IPS+
Snapdragon s800 CPU
13 MP camera
micro sd slot
battery > 2300mah

Station:
8.9-10" 1080p Super IPS
Battery> 5000mah
in-built kickstand?
front facing stereo speakers

you can try your luck...
it's rather unlikely they cover cable damages.. 99% cable damages are considered wear and tear...

btw since this discussion hasn't gotten a reply... (about FonePad)
havent heard anything on it. haha. any infor?

from what i know FonePad is merely another android 7" tablet that can make phone calls...

doesn't sound interesting to me...

Looks like my dream specs are becoming a reality.

Now left the small details which i hope Asus pay attention to them.

1) micro sd slot
2) front facing stereo speakers for the station

We will know soon.

wtf... so fast new padfone out!! make me gian to buy new one.. was planning to use this padfone 2 for at least a year leh...

The biggest question would be : availability

They may announce now but deliver it only many months later (case taken from padfone 1).

if that is the case, then i think it is no harm.
But this new padfone is sure to kill their own transformer series

ya. if it is gonna be out in anytime b4 Q4 2013, i will probably change to a cheaper phone now like n4 then get the newer padfone when it comes out. lol. but there were pple saying it may be a windows phone 8 OS (or windows RT convertible) notice how the teaser pic has an 8 in the background.

Makes no sense for a windows phone 8 because there is no instant transition to a tablet mode (windows RT).

although they share the same kernel, more work has to be done to integrate the 2.

Just like the big bang of ICS.
