Just found out Zenwifi BT10 released https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-BT10-Tr...1723027620&sprefix=zenwifi+bt1,aps,376&sr=8-2
The firmware to support MLO is out.Bros huh,
Just got my ZenWifi BQ16 and setting it up. Noticed the MLO feature is not available with the current firmware. Anyone has it enabled by any chance? My firmware says latest but looks like it was from Jan 2024.
Thanks
Nice. I'm one of those who likes the vertical design, takes up less space on my table. I was also looking at ASUS RT-BE92U.Asus has launched RT-BE86U in China at RMB1799. It has single 10G port, lacks the second SFP+ 10G port in RT-BE88U (RMB 2199, sometimes got promotion at RMB 1999). Some people may like the vertical form factor of RT-BE86U (same for RT-AC86U and RT-AX86U, I am still using RT-AX86U).
This will not be a China only model though, but there will be global version as well, just like RT-BE88U. On the other hand, not so sure if Asus Singapore will bring in RT-BE88U and RT-BE86U or not.
Same good BCM4916 CPU as the RT-BE88U and ROG GT-BE98, but only 1GB RAM.

WiFi Data Rate
WiFi 7 (802.11be) (2.4GHz, 3*3 ): up to 1032 Mbps
WiFi 7 (802.11be) (5GHz, 4*4): up to 5764 Mbps
Processor
2.6GHz quad-core processor
Memory
256 MB Flash and 1 GB RAM
I/O Ports
1 x 10G for WAN/LAN,
1 x 2.5G for WAN/LAN,
3 x 2.5G for WAN/LAN,
USB 3.2 Gen1 x1,
USB 2.0 Gen1 x1
Sadly no 6Ghz band for BE86U even for the global models outside China according to FCC documentsAsus has launched RT-BE86U in China at RMB1799. Speed tests from TUF-BE6500:
15PM
Device QOS
BE200 laptop
Just curious where and how much did you buy your TUF-BE6500 for? These tests were done in the same room as the router, but overall coverage and speed are very good throughout our 4 room condo unit. There's a difficult spot in our study where most routers struggle and this one can perform the same as the below in terms of coverage
AX11000 pro
AX86U pro
AX82U (speeds limited by 1G wan port)
This weak spot i can get get around 800/900 up/down.
The router does get as warm as the AX86U Pro but I usually run my routers with a USB fan to keep them cool.
The 2.5G lan ports are solid too but I found less speeds on the gaming port for some reason. Maybe future firmware would fix it as I'm using the second firmware release which fixed issues with 2.4G radio performance.

Have tested BQ16's MLO with new firmware. Conclusion. Don't waste time. Still slower than 1 single 5GHz or 6GHz. I was connected to all 3 bands somemore. Wasted my time trying.
I'm using my Pixel 9 Pro XL, 1 firmware before, it added MLO support. 1 firmware later, I try but too finicky and unstable. Ya, have to wait for it to be more stable. They revamped the web ui for the wireless portion in the new firmware. Looks more atas or polished now. They separated out the SSID/encryption and password portion and the channels portion. I like the new look. Btw, not cheap leh, $900 1 unit. Not much diff than my BE805 leh TBH. Thermals is better on the 805 somemore. This one you can feel the heat. Waiting for the RT-BE96U. Will skip the RT-BE86 this generation. My new fav is 6G band WiFi 7!Good one. It is good that you have Asus ZenWiFi BQ16 now.
What is the client you use? If using Windows and Intel BE200 (probably same for other chipset like Qualcomm QCNCM865 and MediaTek Filogic 380 MT7927), do not bother with MLO now. You have to wait for Windows 24H2 to be more widely available to see if MLO is useful in tems of speed boosting.
The main benefits of MLO is more in tems of reliability and latency now. Later when MLO is more mature (on the router and client side), then it may help on the speed with 5GHz-1/5GHz-2 or 5GHz/6GHz MLO.
