Nope, I didnt change any setting at all. Not familar with network terms and stuff, assemble computer still okay but network stuff abit out of my depth.

I was on 200mbps until during IT show weekend when I upgraded to 500mbps online. My service went down on 0000 5th May for a minute and I went to check on speedtest and it shows 350mbps download, 500+upload.

wait so u tested on a pc with lan cable or pc with wifi or phone on wifi?

lan cable on pc. router and ont next to my computer only.

have u tried restarting ur ont and ur router? switch off router, den ont and wait for 10 sec, on ont, wait for 10~15 sec, ont router to test it?

only cable change, software we cant upgrade on our own, only singtel can upgrade.

try resetting the aztech router and see if it works?

if not you might wanna try it on a different pc if possible?

on off the router, their reset isn't that good though.

i'm using valore cheapo cat 6 cable and is super performing well.

so how much u intend to spend on a cable?

but u still need to think of the distances as well. but im not sure 50 bucks can get u long enough to your room from the router.

ah i see, yup should be fine for that $50 dollar cables, but u dun go ask the prices 1st just ask for a distances and the category and see how much it cost.

For now available for consumer is cat 6, but if u can get 6a that will be better.

Singtel got back to me with a Pinoy CSO. He keep insisting that its normal for me to get 350mbps download and 500mbps upload citing "different speedtest portal" will give different result.

He ask me to open Youtube HD video and to see if i can load vid3o. Which doesnt make sense, Im on fibre of course it will load fast but Im still not within the advertised range of download rate.

I asked him then which speedtest website singtel recommend? Ill do the test there and show you the result. He say singtel dont recommend any speedtest portal. Waste time only, got a feeling their SOP is to blame the user and speedtest portal.
