Big rant on new build cpu

Is not far fetched, peoples are simply expecting too much from a tech support working in a DIY shop. There are many reasons card could failed during game play. Not every failure are due to faulty card, The PSU play an important part to provide the required current , just an example.

Ask people to bring down gpu instead of distro, did not conduct any proper stress test and u tell us is fine.what is wrong with you?

Even integrated graphics can run video nia Lor, won't even work out the GPU at all. Honestly they should have some form of guide (shop owners for their staff) if they want to provide diagnosis services

Shop and their tech support have no obligation to run stress test in the first place. If you are not happy with their test, head down to the distro for RMA, it's up to the distro whether to perform stress test or not, they have no obligation as well. They can simply send the card back to manufacturer as RMA without doing stress test.

Nothing wrong with me, just you guys are expecting too much from a DIY shop tech support, period.

I know some ppl(myself included) facepalm at how VP tech handled TS's case. Some were enraged even and felt that they wasted TS's time.

Commach is simply trying to put across a point that DIY shop "tech" support is unreliable and they are the last ppl we should be counting on.

And that is why the bros and sis are here to help.

and if they beh kan, why did they even ask ts to go down to their shop and let them take a look? to continue, if they so beh kan, what's the point of a 1st week 1 to 1 exchange?

dunno anything is nvm. u revert to distro if u cannot solve. but beh kan until run a single video file and try to assure your customer that all is well is just irresponsible.

What's the purpose of your post exactly? Whatever u just said, have already been provided as advice by OTHERS. Your golden advice isn't really needed if u intend to bash everyone.

Breadfren is someone who is impartial when it comes to computer parts. If u can even find a problem with what he said, there has to be an issue with u.

i agree. this mod last time i still have some respect for him. now it's all gone.

siding with bad practices and just saying that it's ok for the shop to know nothing when they call ts to bring down the gpu to them to check is just ridiculous on its own.

we never anticipate any high level support from the shop but when u ask your customer to bring the part down instead of the distro and failing to provide proper assistance is just wtf. that's absolutely ridiculous and even more so for those to side with them.
