thanks guys.. sigh

what is there to sigh? If you pay in excess, IRAS will refund it to you.

If your total tax liability is $1k. You paid card up $1k, giro deduct $1k, IRAS will just refund you the $1k

Is that something to sigh? zzz

sigh also cannot? iras refund you $1k, who refund you $26?

cause u net net still earn.

Unless u go use cards that give you net deficit. In the first place why use it?

If give u net deficit, isnt it better to just use cash and pay directly?

Sigh doesnt help, being smart is.

Of course can. If that makes you hapi

I rather someone who learnt from mistake, if any than to sigh just because they did something wrong.

Honestly, there is nth to sign, when he paid with cardup, he wanted to earn something out of it. Hence the $1k being deducted should has 0 bearing on what he has earned.

There is nth much to sigh at all.

this doesnt qualify for online retail spend by HSBC Revolution. have emailed them to check. Is Cardup considered as money payment websites?

Online Transactions shall mean retail transactions made via the internet and processed by the respective merchants/acquirers as an online transaction type through the Visa Worldwide networks. For the avoidance of doubt, transactions made on brokerage/securities and/or money payment/transfer websites are not classified as retail transactions and are expressly excluded. With effect from 1 October 2016, for Online Transactions which involve any pre-paid card top-ups including but not limited to EZ-Link, Transitlink or NETS Flashpay, 5x Rewards points are capped at 1,000 HSBC Rewards points per Account per calendar month (i.e. up to S$200 spend).

Confirmed HSBC cannot use Cardup to earn rebates/rewards. Tried before & asked CSO, they said its a payment service provider so does not qualify.
So far, its only UOB, BOC, SCB to be worthwhile...not sure about OCBC & CIMB.
DBS & HSBC confirmed no.
