Hi all, want to seek feedback of any Evolv ITX owners here.

I'm looking at getting the case for my MITX build, but I've seen many reviews and feedback that the airflow inside the case is quite poor and that the GPU will get hot.

One way to mitigate that is to get a blower style GPU but at all possible, I want to avoid that, one of the reasons I chose this is because it can fit in larger GPUs.

Any advice on how to maximize the airflow in this case? Thanks.

You can try to replace the 200mm fan at the front with 2 x static pressure fans of 120 or 140 to draw more air in.

Thanks bro, your recommendation makes sense. Due to the design of the front panel, there won't be a large volume of available air for the 200mm fan to move, might as well switch to SP fans.

If you do not have an aircon where your case is, I would highly recommend not buying this case. We live in Singapore and the climate is always hot. I know sometimes buying these kinds of cases will make your rig look cool but I had to sell off my old Alienware at a cheap price and buy a Cooler Master Case Pro 5 because it has a lot of air vents to really push the air in the front and out the back and top. And even then, my GPU still gets throttled after a few hours of use though I suspected that the GPU driver update was the cause of it because I never had that problem before but nonetheless, I am already planning to now change my blower style GPU with a watercooled GPU that maybe companies like Zotac will sell. This is to make it less prone to overheating. First World Problems for living in a tropical island.

I read through your post twice and dun see ayou purchasing the evolv, only alienware and CM master 5 pro. As such, how can you quantify that evolv is lousy when you do not even own one?

he suggest to get a larger casing instead of small one. and even then, with good airflow he still may be throttled too after sometime, due to sg temps...

Too big of a case also not good as it can poorly optimised to due big empty spaces between fans and heat sources...

What I am saying is it is really up to you to decide in the end. I wholeheartedly love this case and have the desire to purchase one but I look for feedback in many areas because I was burnt by the fact that sometimes, going for looks means you'll have to sacrifice in other areas such as performance.

Thus, I would advice you that unless you have an aircon or use an AIO Watercooled GPU as opposed to a fan based GPU, then chances are, you will still encounter the same problems that you are already having due to the lower airflow thanks to the case design.

In the end, it really is up to you. I am just giving you my experience that I encounter with such cases and even on my own Mastercase Pro 5.

Hi Corbell,

Just asking, if I am so unlucky and got the Enthoo Evolv ATX Tempered Glass Edition glass broken.
How much would it take to get them replaced ?

What happened bro? :o
Please PM the details to @Corbell.

Haha.. nothing happen yet, but I will be buying this case pretty soon.
Due to space constraint, my CPU will place beside my chair under the desk.

Asking beforehand only.. just in case I scratch or breaks it..

Chey, I thought what happened... :s13:

Same as the tempered glass screen protector on my smartphone. If some small scratches, usually I ignore. If it cracked, I'll replace a new one.

So touchwood, in case yours broke, you can purchase the glass itself. (probably only $40-50). But really for normal usage, should be safe. Don't worry lah. ;)
