All the ceiling fans in my bedrooms and living room are purchased from tb. All working very well. Only the remote and lights tends to be faulty and i replace myself. Other than that, everything is fine.
I love the remote control feature.

Hi all, am shopping around for ceiling fans and corner wall fans. Any thoughts or existing users of the following options? i dont need it to be smart or wifi-enabled. Thank you!

Ceiling fan:
- Prestige M3 52" ($4xx)
- Alaska Fern 56" ($4xx) / Alaska Hydson 52" ($3xx)

Corner fan:
- Alaska Eskye 15" ($3xx - exp!)
- Fanco Dono 16” ($199) - likely going for this

Hi fellows, any danger of using a 48" diameter fan (I think this is the normal large fan size mean for living room) in a room that's 2.7M by 3.2M? Or as long as the center of the fan is >1,2M away from the walls on all sides it's fine???

48" isn't large, its mostly for bedroom. Can consider 56" or even 60" if it is at the center location and you do not have any other hanging fixture.

Theoretically, Japanese KDK said that the blade should be at least 60cm from cupboard, lighting, or fixture. Ah beng ah Seng fan shop will tell you they think and from the amount of salt they eat compared to the amount of rice we eat, they claimed only 30 to 40cm is sufficient. Depending on whether you want to follow Japanese standard for reliability or ah beng ah seng theory. Yes. Based on your calculation seems ok.

The new condo bedroom perhaps only 40”. I think if you want to design nice like with downlight, accent light and cove light, 48” is risky because you may kana the strobe effect anytime.

Of course if you just whack 1 fan with light in room, then ok la

$350 RM so cheap???

I bought the one with LED light @$890 RM and it's a Panasonic cos KDK dun have the color I want.
SG and MY colors offering is difference and KDK / Panasonic under same company in MY...

Free ceiling bracket & Delivery charges to SG is 30RM/unit + GST.
Actually why less ppl wants to buy Panasonic/ KDK? They rather trust prism, Aeroair or fanco.

Yes, depends on layout, 48" is 1.2m, so still leave you with about 0.9m per side to the wall. 40" is really small, if you are depending on fan to keep you cool without AC, you will probably need to spin it at max or near max speed which in terms mean it will be louder and probably more distracting. Bigger fan allow you to spin it slower and with more coverage.

Aggressive marketing helps, not many people are familiar with fan durability. Price it at half of KDK and with fancier design it also a great deal.

Now all already same price as kdk. Their airy is $500+, those Aeroair also $500+. I presume the reason why is KDK usually can’t support smart home which is a killer for most youngsters

Prism and Fanco is still half the price with more function than KDK.

you want to read your original comment? I was replying to that... I never mention i prefer them or using them.
Typo. Should be who instead of you. Maybe I buy Panasonic/ KDK from Malaysia. I realised kdk doesn’t have 52-60 inch. Not sure whether 48” vs 52” will have lots of difference
