Just bought the novo7 advanced 8gb today at SLS, 4th floor shop in front of the escalator.. got it at $199

screen quality isn't fantastic and this is the first time using an android for me so i'm pretty damn lost. don't know if it's me but the touchscreen isn't as sensitive or 'precise' as the ipad.

then again, for $199 i guess i shouldn't ask for too much! ;)

off to install the 1.6 firmware and to google how to start installing apps!

And to think that he is banging away on his Novo 7 while we are still waiting! :s13:

Can't win all:s13:

From what was reviewed, I already won by not getting wopad i7. Don't get me wrong wopad i7 is good, but novo 7 is better:D

Now just wish someone comes out faster with a nicely priced reliable 9.7"/10" IPS screen A10 tablet:s12:

Only consolation is some sort of wrty assurance from Merimobiles, as they seem reputable at the moment, although far away and lehcheh if that is required! Touchwood! :s22:

i hope so too, tho they mentioned warranty is only 3 months.

having played with it for a few hours, one of the main gripes is the buttons (menu, home etc) on the side that arent responsive as i'd like them to be. response is also slightly slow as compared to the ipad when typing..

i wonder if anything can be done. hmm.

I read something about blow dryer (heat) treatment that helps screen responsiveness. BUT I won't risk it if I were you.

Sometime capacitive screen needs some usage before they becomes responsive:)
