Finally took the plunge and order a Novo 7 for myself. I was holding back till I saw that there was an actual forum for it on Slatedroid. Means good things will happen for it.

I'd just update it to 1.7.2 firmware. all seems well, comes with Market & Music player All seems well, need to test more.

But the problem that some apps not shown in Market still there, it's due to Market registering it as Novo7Advanced. So skype, whatsapp, go keyboard, etc will not appear. You'll need to find apk installer

It's the same version, MrTasselhof just added the tools & driver to make it into the pack the firmware wise it's the same

Ya it's better to download that as you'll need the tool & drivers

The game is subjective, like when I use my games from xperia play, it doesn't work. When I get the SG2 versions, most will run well Same GPU.

HowTo Fix market cache problem, not all apps (like Google's) can be found:
1. Open the Market and press the home button to return
2. Go to Settings \ Applications \ Manage \ Running
3. Press "Market"
4. Press "Clear cache" (do not clear data)
5. Press "Force stop"
6. Return to "Settings \ Applications \ Manage \ Running"
7. Press "Google Services Framework"
8. Press "Clear Data"
9. Press "Force Stop"
10. Start Google Market, it must give an error
11. Reboot, once back Market should work, if it gives an error it could need another minute to work
12. Test the access, search Skype on the market, it should return 400+ results including the original Skype and google's apps like maps / streetview / docs and skype

Those bro/sis who want touse Daiso screen protector, the size to cut is 18.5 x 11cm. But it's really very soft, don't stick well

Just ordered from gmarket A500 clear screen protector, then cut into size

maybe try a galaxy tab instead?

I measure liao. it's 18.5 x 11cm for the whole glass/plastic area. Actually if can cut 18.3 x 10.8cm it'll be great

looks ok for me thru android market...using android market on my PC, saw Novo 7 in my account
