Hi all
I just got an onda vi30 加强版
On onda website ONDA

There is vi30 firmware 2.05 for 2 type
It said that it can make the rom 512 to 1024mb

I like to ask any different in performance if an android got a bigger rom ?

Nice, how you find the Vi30 deluxe view angle? Also the touchscreen sensitivity? These are the 2 main negative feedbacks found online. Waiting for someone to verify it^^;

2.0.5 is the main firmware which they forgot to add something in the extension version.

The main difference is the 512MB system file storage had been increased to 1GB. This means lesser internal storage will be visible to you. I believe they do this to reduce the chance of system storage being overcrowded^^;

Hi
Mine is the vi30 hao hua ban
Not vi30w
Vi30 is 1024 x 768
While vi30w is 800 x 600

Touch screen ok for me can play angry bird fruit ninja smoothly.

Screen wise too shinny or reflective.
Front camera ok la can't complain on that.

Only the stupid charging not thru USB but ok la
I want a typical high res screen.

Sound ok.

I use it for my kid video player n simple game

Now searching for ICS rom

When I buy this unit the guy told me ICS is for dual core
The rest ICS in the china tablet is all skin only
I am not sure or cannot verify this

Ya that's what I said Vi30 deluxe. Cos the Vi30W deluxe is said to have better touch sensitivity and view angle, only lower resolution but screen is sharper. I'm actually quite familar (on specs and reviews) with Onda A10 chipset line.

ICS will work on A10 chipset. Vi30 deluxe also have a trial ICS firmware out like Novo7A. And no it's not skin (UI) launcher, as these can be easily spotted with settings.

Ya Vi30 only 2 version RK2918 and A10. Deluxe is the A10.

Vi30 - RK2918 4:3 8" (this one the screen althought not IPS, but quite solid)
Vi30 deluxe - A10 4:3 8"
Vi30W deluxe - A10 4:3 8"
Vi20W deluxe - A10 4:3 7"
Vi10W deluxe - A10 16:9 7"
VX610W deluxe - A10 16:9 7"
VX610W plus - A10 resistive 16:9 7"

To be released : Vi40W (not sure if there'll be a deluxe behind) 4:3 9.7" IPS

Should be S$201 self-collect bah, cos haven't add in their international shipping, which I estimate to be 1.5kg.

What are the steps to buy through agent?
What does it mean by self-collect? Going down to their office(?) and take?

I don't have any relevant experience:s13:

I don't have any relevant experience:s13:

1. register an account with them
2. paste the url of the thing u want to buy.
3. make sure the name, price, shipping (china), color, quantity, size, remarks (if any) are correct.
4. after u add all the things u want, checkout.
5. then you pay accordingly to the payment methods u like. (refer to their faq/guide)
6. wait for them to confirm recieve payment.
7. wait for them to buy for u.
8. wait for the sellers to send to their china warehouse.
9. wait for them to package and let u know the total weight.
10. wait for them to bill u for the international shipping + service + local service (if u want)
11. pay them.
12. wait for them to ship out your order.
13. wait for the shipment to reach their singapore warehouse or office.
14. wait for them to info u.
15. go collect from their office/warehouse or mrt stations or if u had paid them to send u (some $5 some $8), wait for them.:s13:

Above steps are the basic process of these China shipping agent lor. Which one to go with is up to u^^

Edit: like the sgshop i'm using, yesterday night use the refund money (meaning it's on their end liao) to order SN10T2. Only now then confirm my payment. Then have to wait for them to purchase (pray today).

Last time (as in last month) the service faster. Think now too many ppl using cos we mentioned in open liao >.<

Hm. now I'm interested to get the SN10T2. There seems to be stock for it.

ƽ°åµçÄÔ°²×¿10.1Ó¢´çå«Ë¹±¦Àö£¨HANNspree£©SN10T2 1GHz´¦ÀíÆ÷-ÌÔ±¦Íø

So, total around $200 incl delivery ah? how long do you think I can get it? Is sgshop good?

Hope u don't regret buying^^; You have to imagine buying a crippled (3G + GPS no have) Defy+/Milestone2. Then running higher resolution also. Of cos view-angle not good.

I buy for the brand, for the build, for the high resolution, for the legendary 9600mah battery, and most importantly can play custom rom:s13:

sgshop + x'mas/ny - My guess is after x'mas=:p They'd been slow recently.. sigh~

Hi Sir,
May I know what is your view on 10" tablet? I have shortlisted the below budget tablet. But not really familiar with its technology and specifications.

I am quite inclined with Teclast A10. But its slightly more costly.

1. Cube U9GT2 10"
2. Teclast A10 10"
3. Hannspree SN10T2 10"

Or if you have other recommendation below $200, pls let me know?

I am generally looking for one that allows me to surf, check email and 3G, simple word processing. HDMI not really important, but good to have. Battery life sld be reasonably good. Weight not really important.

Best if it's comparable with iPAD. ;p

Compare with Ipad? None, cos Android will always be Android. IOS will always be IOS:s13:

3G no inbuild only 3G dongle.

If battery life is important then Teclast A10 is out cos only 6000mah.

Surfing, email, word processing, best get IPS screen. So SN10T2 out.

U9GT2 u better off get Window N90, more features at the same price 1399 RMB with shipping + agent expect it to be around S$310.

Do note the risk of getting stuffs online. If u unfamiliar best go SLS look look see see bah.

thanks for the advise.
The reason why i didnt shortlist Window N90 is because of the price :o

Does the Teclast A10 really sux in terms of battery life? Can it last 5-6 hours? If yes, I can live with it ;p

Cheap Price is an important factor in this thread ;p

Thanks, it sounds good to hands on @ SLS before investing.

Window N90 is same price as U9GT2 mah. 1399 RMB. International sellers always more ex and slower and dropping their price. Normally 1-2 weeks will drop liao.

U9GT2/N90 8000 mah, A10 6000 mah. If you want to use 3G dongle, confirm drain more battery. I think for A10 real life 3G dongle + wifi maybe around 3hrs bah.

Cheap price then no need think, SN10T2 liao. 9600 mah can 8hrs video playback with wifi on. But not very sure about 3G support.

Is it still in production? If I remembered correctly, I saw from somewhere that they ceased production for this tablet?

How much is the total price? (inclusive of shipping, agent fees, everything)

Ya end production liao, that's why clearing stocks:D But they seems to be clearing stocks for this model only in CN/TW/HK.

Price u look back bah. I repeated at least 3 times liao. As I'd said this tablet is not for everyone.

I see.

In your opinion, what is the cheapest tablet that has the longest battery life ?
(Excluding wifi, 3g or whatnot. Mainly used for watching videos)

I don't care about 3g/gps. I had my iphone for these functions. I want to play around with android tablet, play with custom rom. Initially want to buy kindle / nook tablet. but then I found out that 7" too small for reading magazines. Even the galaxy tab 8.9 are quite small for magazines. Also the nook tablet unlikely to be able to use custom rom. This baby is cheaper, longer battery, and with bonus webcam somemore. albeit slower. Looking at the price, performance, battery life, and weight, it's quite a steal.

My only concern is I can't read mandarin. Do you think relying on google translate is good enough to navigate through the custom rom / forums instructions?
