Forget about Bosch consumer version (green). That one is quite cost effective, but is nowhere near as well made.

18 usually refers to 18V system. The GSB/GSR refers to type. GSB is driver/drill/hammer. GSR us driver and drill only. The chuck size may also be bigger on the GSB (13 vs 10mm)

I must say a chuck hammer is quite pointless. Get a SDS hammer bare tool only if you plan on masonry/brick/concrete drilling often. The expensive part is the battery system. The bare tool is usually quite cheap

12V system is considered small. Use for furniture and sheet metal. Not enough power to handle heavier jobs. The battery can be hacked to work with dremel, so that is a plus. I have one unit which is my go-to for light jobs.

GSR18 has no hammer function. You may need the hammer for masonry work.
I have to say if you touch the drill once every few months, go get a corded unit. Battery drills are for people who use the thing to make money, or do a lot of DIY.

If you like to DIY light projects, I'd get a cordless 12V system that is handy and has battery packs interchangeable with Dremel rotary tools (with a bit of modding)

For the occasional DIY wall drilling, I'd get (or borrow) a corded SDS hammer (they're cheap even for Bosch)

I'll say this. 18V system cordless drill drivers - especially the pro grade ones with a lot of metal parts - are fscking heavy. These are used if you need to do heavy work like drilling 10mm steel plate or driving bolts into hardwood.

I have a really powerful Hilti for that. I'd never use it for "light" DIY.

why'? battery expensive or low lifetime always need to change or not enough power after a while
