Asked the Cso if they can give an exception for to apply Vantage since my income is just 100k on the dot ... Turns out my income with them is registered as 94k and they don't give exceptions :( Seems like they will take a haircut from your bonus when computing your income.

Guess I will have to try again next time.

I wrote in to ask if they can make an exception ... cause I can't see it in my app
You can apply via the website by clicking "Apply Now" icon:
https://www.dbs.com.sg/personal/cards/credit-cards/dbs-vantage-visa-infinite-card#
In the next screen, click on "Apply by uploading your documents here" to apply manually and uploading the document. Do not apply via SingPass or login via DBS Internet Banking. In this way, it may force through a manual review by the credit department and hopefully you may get an approval if your annual income is close to S$120K.

I tried before, but it won't allow you to continue if you enter < 10k as the salary in the input field. Do you know ppl who succeed?

But I'm not really desperate for it so I guess I'll wait a couple more years

I have DBS Vantage but the only good reason to get it is the 80,000 bonus miles for new-to-bank applicants.

The free hotel stay is hard to use, you'll be lucky to get more than US$100 value out of that. Don't expect one night in Raffles Hotel.

The Accor Silver tier membership is possibly useful. They have "red hot" hotel deals and you could get a good 5-star hotel rate in a secondary destination. The Accor hotels are generally top rated, but you won't get big discounts on bookings. There's a very limited number of 50% off for two deals for Swissotel, Fairmont and Sofitel Singapore restaurants but they are mostly average and overpriced so 50% just takes you to ordinary low end fine dining price.

The other dining rewards are not worth paying for.

Lounge access might be worth a little if you value it, but do you really arrive at the airport early just to sit in the lounge?

U can try the slower method.

Submit credit review, and upload your NOA or payslip. After they revise your credit check if ibanking have vantage available.

Caveat is that if you're applying with the promo code not sure if you can make it by the deadline since credit review might take a while to approve as well.

Just input 10K and let the credit team assess. Internally some banks have a threshold that they can accept if fall short of the 120K requirement.

That's what I did the first time haha ... that's how I know they slash my actual pay from around 100k to ~94k

Not sure about my actual rating since I don't want to shell out $8 for a report, but I've been paying my credit card bills on time all the time and usually have at least 120k in the bank account.

No response since I applied on Monday ... Dam, was hoping at least to get the free credit report :ROFLMAO:. There seem to be no records on CBS either when I logged in ... Hopefully they will response next week.
