Provided you can find flights. I guess the fact that SQ almost never opens up seats to *A partners cut both ways. At least I can get it on SQ.
CX charges adult fare for infant.
How did u manage to do that? I booked online and it shows adult fare with reduced tax

SQ charge 10% seat fare for infants under 2 yr old. But there is no seat for infant. You must carry on your lap..
Infant ticket cost 10% cash or full adult for miles iirc.
So the trick is to redeem the adult first with miles then buy infant ticket with cash and attached it to your booking

It still depends on route too. SIN-JFK is also difficult to redeem cause it's too sought after.
It's easier for Americans (with their credit card promotions/signup bonus/miles earning) to earn miles faster than us.
Anyways, let's get back on topic.

General rules for infants....
1. Never do mileage redemption as it's treated as an adult ticket.
2. The only way to purchase an infant ticket is to first buy( or redeem) the adult tickets, then call the CX local office here to purchase an infant ticket. They will need to verify if the operating aircraft for that particular flight has the bassinet seat or not and tell you what your options are and then they will proceed to book the infant ticket for you, link it back to your online booking and take your credit card details at the same time.
For me, I'll usually have a preferred flight and a backup flight, then call the office first to check if infant seats are available before quicklyngoing online to book the adult ticket simultaneously.

90% discount for both SQ and CX if your child is under 2 years.
For CX, child must be less than 2 years on both the outbound and return trip.
For SQ, child must be less than 2 years on the outbound trip, but can be over 2 years on the return leg. SQ is a bit more flexible in this regard.

I didn't know this
I thought reading Sq specifically also saying return leg mus also be below 2 yr old.Yes thats what happened to my son's ticket.
We only paid $300+ for his infant ticket.
Outbound flight is 18th. His 2nd birthday on 20th.

We always fly business before my son turned 2. If I know SQ can give chance then I should have squeezed one more travel last month
