The big brands are definitely selling Euro 6. But the cheap ones (at least for Smart Energy) are Euro 5. Don't think you should put that in your Euro 6 car. I think the DPF will fail or something, not sure. Or you'll get reduced engine power as it operates at a lower level to produce less emissions. If your car uses AdBlue, it'll probably use more AdBlue.

Asking ah, go msia pump diesel got limit or restriction or not ah? I cannot find any information anywhere so come here to ask for help.

Diesel cars in Singapore is based on Euro 5 and 6 standards and they also require Euro 5 or 6 diesel fuel. Majority of the gas stations in Malaysia only offers Euro 2 diesel and gasoline.

Pumping Euro 2 diesel fuel into an Euro 5 or 6 is not recommended due to the high sulfur content in the fuel and this can cause problems for your car.

My BMW 2 series AT is listed as Euro VI on Sgcarmart. Wouldn't risk using Euro V. My S80 that's one year older is Euro V.

I'm just afraid it'll clog the DPF. But I'm sure Smart Energy will move to Euro 6 diesel when it comes into effect in September. I wonder if the price will increase, I expect it will.

for those with euro 6 vehicles, best is to pump diesel which meets the grade of sulfur less than 10 ppm (sg's diesel is usually as low as 3-5ppm). msia's so called euro 5 diesel is also <10 ppm in sulfur (or so they claimed to be).

if you pump diesel in which sulfur is more than 10 ppm, there wouldnt be any problem, just that your DPF will be clogged faster.

do note that even though you pump sg's 'sulfur free' diesel, your DPF will still be clogged, it is just a matter of time.

with the introduction of euro 6, i think you guys need to find sources to buy adblue

Rev isn't enough.
Need to drive continuously for some 30 min to let the dpf 'regen' itself with the generated heat..

If u drive only slow, short trips around the neighborhood, it'll get clogged sooner or later
