Any diesel comes with additive like shell vpower which gives you more responsive drive?

Don’t think so. BMW specifically cautions no diesel additives in its 116d. BMW recommends Shell Quality Fuels.

Don't think it's good for the dpf... Some cars won't move when it's clogged

One question: is Singapore only offered one diesel grade (Euro 5) only ? Only pump twice for my diesel car(euro 6 diesel compliance), I didn't ask the pump attendant.

2 days ago I pumped in Malaysia Petronas Euro 5 diesel, finding the car drive much smoother, quieter and better torque.

There's a range of diesel in Sg, depending on where you get it. You can even find Euro 3 diesel in industrial sites

The usual petrol kiosk sells diesel with <10ppm sulphur

Msia's diesel is <50ppm sulphur for euro 5 diesel. sulphur acts as a lubricant, which is why you can feel it is smoother. But if your car is Euro 6 and you use euro 5 diesel, it will shorten the lifespan of your engine and DPF.

Ha-ha, affecting DPF may be but hurting engine in what way ?
Also, Euro 5 diesel standard called for 10ppm of sulphur . Where do you find the information that Malaysia Euro 5 Diesel is having higher sulphur contents yet continue to claim Euro 5 compliance.

i work in heavy vehicle automotive industry, the engine oil is different for euro 6 as it requires more lubrication, not sure about the light vehicles. but using higher than 10ppm will shorten the lifespan of the injectors as they are more sensitive.

sorry, i keep thinking euro 5 is <50ppm when it is <10ppm. it is euro 4 that is <50ppm.

so yeah, feel free to pump euro 5 diesel in msia since it is <10ppm

this is a mistake on my part. euro 5 diesel is <10ppm which is the standard for euro 6 diesel cars

just make sure the diesel you pump into your euro 6 diesel car meets <10ppm sulfur
