Hi Guys, anyone studying in B.S.G.D? Are the two recommendation letter a MUST to be submitted b4 they even start to process the application?

yea, bsgd must submit 2 reco letter, although i took rtis, i oso submit to increase my chances. but most important is yor personal statement, its the main deciding factor whether to accept u or not.

So quiet over here. Seems like there will be quite a mix of foreign students. The fees are crazy. Can buy a car. Counting down to orientation day. Lalala..

woah i think u r referring to me, but not the talented part hehe. Anyway i took up bank loan, owned bank $$$, parents coffin funds already spent on sis uni fees. no choice, worst I'm in my mid 20s, shld be around 30 if i can graduate.

Another choice is work first, save money then study, but too bad this option not for me, time is not my side. maybe by the time i have safe enough, no mood to study already. lol

true. study first then work is the best.. by the way, how much u loan from bank?

i think art or creative course needs a lot of interest + talents. may be 70 interest + 30 talents. lol..

I used to wish to study Art but took up IT course. I wonder what if...

How is it messy? You probably have to sort out the schedule for your own courses =D. The schedule for sem 1 seems quite light for me.

You don't need to have a great Math background to do RTIS.. I didn't touch math for 6+ years before I enrolled, forgot almost everything.

The Math courses are at a 50% pass requirement instead of 70% as norm for cores (at least for pioneer batch), the really Math savvy students can pass with flying colors with 75% and above, but it's really forgiving for the weaker students if they are willing to put in some extra effort in catching up. It's mostly new material that you can learn from scratch.

Regarding the timetables, it's one of the downsides of a newly established uni, there aren't enough personnel around for you to be flexible and choose your own timings like mainstream unis. All I can say is, RTIS is serious business lol.. you have to be mentally prepared as it isn't the normal freshmen honeymoon experience.

Ouch, Digipen + RT CAN kill..

yeah ritsuko, for ppl like me, RTIS is not only a serious business, edu loans and family honor are also at stake. It's either a do or die situation :s31: Let's all work hard to hopefully pass with flying colors but most importantly is to complete this gruesome course!!? Three cheers for every1 in here n out there 1:s12: 2:s12: 3:s12:

Btw.. not just the RTIS side.. even for the BFA it's a gigantic hole in the wallet! The textbooks itself are damn expensive! Not to forget all the art materials as well!! And yes.. once I have set myself on this path... it's a NO TURNING BACK. lol Oh family honor... none of my relatives heard of Digipen (talk about frogs in the well) and i had to go to great lengths to explain to them what it is.

^Added.
