This case got no airflow ah? But I see it has lots of fans...
I don't want liquid cooling as I don't want to maintain it in the future.

I want 4080 to play D4 with RTX enabled.
The difference between them also 200-ish, might as well get the 4080.
Putting tons of fans is one matter, knowing how the airflow works, is another.
I have tested numerous of O11Ds cases and all react the same. no matter which fan direction, O11Ds are meant for Water cooling or Liquid AIO, except for O11 Air Mini.

As for EVO, yes it does have an optional front mesh mount but it defeat the purpose to get it. if that's the case, it's of no difference of getting a Lancool II or Lancool III or even a Lancool 216.

If die die want to have windows infront and at the side. Montech Sky Two will do the trick and it's cheaper.

As for the 4080, is your pocket, so long you are happy with it. I am just saying that spending so much on a GPU for games is not very practical.

hmm the Montech Sky Two is a bit small... Got any other full tower recommendations similar to O11 D Evo?

Hyte Y60 if you want something with a similar aesthetic (aquarium style)
The Hyte Y60 was my first choice, but Daty41 said it might not fit the 4080, so I changed to O11 D Evo.
Another reason is Y60 doesn't have much space to put 3.5 hdd.

I totally agree with NightRaven490. You wont go wrong with Seasonic Focus GX model. the 12v reel is good, won't drop below 12v. mostly 12.08v to 12.13v, 5VSB standby and 3v also hold within range.
Another good PSU will be the Leadtek SupperFlower. Both of these are good to build with, as all their modular cables are flat and flexible.

There are some premium afforable PSU from Corsair , their reel voltages are good too but I normally wont get it unless getting cablemod pro cables (additional cost and also wasting money). reason is, thier default modular cables are very clumpsy. Sleeving are thick, not flexible and tend to be chunky even after cable managment are done properly. It takes up space at the bottom of the case and might block the front intake of your case.

Add-on : Corsair 8pin EPS cables are short. therefore you will see your EPS cable go across at the back of your case to reach the EPS connector of the motherboard.
ok thanks guysssssssss

Am also in same position as you, desktop is at its upgrade cycle after 5 years, want to upgrade by June for D4, the beta shows my PC is incapable.

deciding between 4070 Ti and 4080 at $531 difference. Inclined to 4070 Ti paired with 7800X3D at 1440p. Is Diablo 4 CPU or GPU bound? Alternative views welcomed

sad isn't it, with the current prices.

glad there's another kindred soul deciding to get a new rig for D4

Between the two, I think most people here would recommend the 4070 ti

wait... are you buying from Sim Lim or Aftershock?

I think NightRaven bro told me, 7800X3D don't need water cooling leh.

4070ti is sufficient for 1440p lah, save some money over the 4080. that's what most people recommend here.

also don't need fast rams, can get slower speeds, not much difference in performance. that's what most people recommend here.

Also if ur monitor is the ultrawide 1440p. it needs more GPU power than the normal 1440p (so cannot use the reviewers data for reference, eg for Cyberpunk 2077 overdrive mode, on 4090, for ultrawide i am getting around 122 Avg fps (on the streets, full of ppl & cars and running as low as 100+ fps) ..which is somewhere between the reviewer average of 4k (96.6 fps) and 1440p (152.2 fps) review.
