I just got a PC from Invader on 14Jul23. I took the Master MK2 package $1088

- AMD RYZEN 5 5600X 3.7GHz 6CORE/12THREAD
- ASUS PRIME B550M-A WIFI II AX ARGB
- KINGSTON FURY BEAST RGB 3600MHz 16GB(8GBx2) CL17
- ASUS TUF GAMING RTX3060Ti O8G GAMING OC
- ADATA LEGEND 850 1TB GEN4 NVME M.2 SSD
- SILVERSTONE ET650-650W V1.4 80+ BRONZE
- COOLER MASTER CMP 320 CASING (3 ARGB FANS)

I did some upgrading and changes by whatapps them $1393:

Upgrade MotherBoard: Asus Tuf Gaming B550M-Plus Wifi II Motherboard
Upgrade Ram: Kingston Fury Beast RGB 3600Mhz (2x8Gb) Total: 32Gb (4x 8gb)
Upgrade PSU to Asus rog strix 750w 80+ gold full modular
Add on Cooler Master Hyper 212 Halo Black CPU Air Cooler
Add Rear Fan: CoolerMaster MF120 Halo Black Argb
Add Top Fan: CoolerMaster CF120 RGB case fan
Add on Tecware flex sleeved extension cables (Black and White)

That person promised to send me a pic before sending out the PC when i ordered. He didn’t do it as he say they already packed the PC liao and told me anything wrong just whatapps them.

At 12.30pm, i received my PC from Invader. They send me a wrong GPU ASUS RTX 3060TI dual fan( NOT Tuf) and a bigger case COOLER MASTER CMP 520 (NOT 320). I whatapps them and only replied at 3pm. He ask if i can accept the wrong case and take it as a free upgrade and will change the GPU.

Around 6.20pm, Invader’s technician came and took back the PC. I accepted the wrong casing.

At 8.30pm, I texted them and they say looking for driver now to deliver the PC.

At 10.30pm, I asked for update and they no longer replied me. I waited till 11.50pm it finally came, the 3rd party delivery man just left the PC outside the gate and ran off.

I find it funny as they can get all the stuff that I wanted to upgrade and change correctly but the items suppose to be in the package they give wrongly.

Took a day off.. happy happy wan to setup and play my new PC.. end up in a whole day waiting game. I am still great that at least they are willing to amend the mistakes and took the trouble to exchange the wrong stuffs. Not a smooth buying experience from them and good luck if you are buying a PC from them.
My specs
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600
Mobo: ASUS TUF GAMING B550M-PLUS WI-FI II
GPU: Asus Tuf Gaming RTX3060Ti O8GB OC Triple Fan GDDR6X
Cooler: CM Hyper 212 Halo White
Ram: KINGSTON FURY BEAST RGB 3600MHz CL17 16gb
System SSD: Adata Legend 850 5000MB/s Gen4 Nvme M.2 1tb
SSD2: Blue SN570/Seagate 3500MB/s Nvme M.2 2tb
PSU: Asus Rog Strix 750W 80+ Gold Full Modular
Case: Montech Air 100 ARGB White TG Casing

Price $1194

Wah very different experience from mine and yours like more ex than mine with similar parts?

Differences:
5600x vs 5600
32gb vs 16gb
Case different but price should be similar
Things added:
I have a 2nd ssd added --> WD sn570 2tb ssd
You have 2 extra fan and sleeve cables

Yours at $199 more is not very good value imo.

For me its a smooth chat on whatsapp and I paid by paynow at SAT and they say they cant process today as near evening. I said on problem no rush. They call me on Mon to confirm which windows to install and delivered it the next day. Courier press my door bell which is rare now as they like to just leave and go.

Also a question since we have the same kingston fury beast rgb and you have (8x4) 4sticks for 32ram. Is there any problem running it at the cl17 3600 speed? If yes in bios just enable d.o.cp and it will boot fine? Because if use all 4 slots even with same ram there might be potential that you have to tweak the ram speeds and timings. I am thinking of getting 2 more sticks from carousell for $68 to upgrade to 32gb.

oh yar if they are a kit of 4 sticks then maybe they will work fine. I did hear that even the same model and brand buying 2 stick later may cause some problems. I was considering since I saw it at a cheap price of $68. Dun really need it but nice to have more ram. Anyhows seller from carousell also oos now.

Was looking at intel DDR5 Wifi boards and am a little undecided between MSI Pro Z790P DDR5 and MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk DDR5. Will be running i5 13600KF and 7900XTX. Is the $70 price difference(dynacore) justified for the Tomahawk?
between the 2, id get the tomahawk if i were running more than 1 nvme since it has heatsinks for all slots opposed to just 1 heatsink on the pro, or if i needed tons of high speed usb and/or type c connectivity as the tomahawk offers more of both. if u really want to save money though, may be a better option to get a 13500 + ddr5 b760 for $100 saving over the 13600k + pro z790-p, with similar multicore performance while saving money on oc support that u may never use.

ddr4 is xmp only, but am4 has good support for it. there might be a chance that fully populated ram slots may not be able to run at full speed, but in general as long as it is the same model of ram (other than corsair kits) it should be fine.

Hi

I think the price they gave you is too good. Either is a special promotion or they calculated wrongly.

They had apologized sincerely to me. They stayed back late, due to bad weather very hard to find the driver and 3 times auto cancel the booking. He got no choice too as he committed with deliver by that day.

My PC is working fine now. As for the 4 x 8gb kingston fury beast rgb ram I got no problem booting up the PC.

Cheer :)

Yah I also think too good so just before I paynow I double confirm with them listing all the parts. Or maybe Its a promotion as they gave me 4 free gifts. Mini bt speaker(lousy sound quality btw) , Kingston fury xxl mousepad and 2 kingston waistbag. One of them quite good quailty so I am using now. Wanted to get a xxl mousepad too so just nice.

Sucks that you had to go through the hicccups but glad they did do thier best to remedy it. Make me feel good of the onsite afterservice that maybe(touchwood) needed.

Cheers and enjoy your pc!

I don’t need 32gb ram too. I just do not like the other 2 ram slots to be empty.

It looks much nicer with all the 4 ram sticks blinking.

Actually, i dun play game. I am a young uncle liao. I brought a gaming PC for normal use me just like the aesthetic.

It just looks cool...I know is a waste of money. :)

Haha same same. I also uncle liao and reason planning to get 2 more sticks is more for the looks and since I saw a good price. I took a long break from gaming and more into watch collecting but gaming creeps back in after I got xbox one S for red dead redemption 2 as it was console only. Then got series S as GPU prices were daylight robbery then. Now seeing all the nice pics of builds got me wanting to get a new pc. Old one still working but restarts often is over 10yrs now i5-2500k and hd6950 combo haha. Last time my case very transformer like. Like the villan robot in the first thor movie lol

Hi,

Looking to upgrade my old pc cause its performing pretty mediocre nowadays.
Primarily using it to game and indulge in media consumption. Looking to build one for 1440p - 4k Gaming Rig

Current spec is
  • 8700 with Asrock 365m PRO4
  • 32GB ram 3200mhz (limited to 2666 by mobo)
  • 650W PSU
  • 1070TI
  • Masterbox MB530P

Currently looking at aftershock Anniversary bundle and wonder if this is a good deal for $3145

  • AMD RYZEN 7 7800X3D Processor
  • AFTERSHOCK Glacier Mirror 360mm Watercooling
  • Gigabyte B650M Gaming X AX
  • PowerColor Radeon RX 7900XTX Hellhound 24GB
  • 32GB ADATA Lancer RGB DDR5 6000MHz (16x2)
  • 1TB Lexar NM790 Gen4 SSD
  • 850W Deepcool 80+ Gold
  • Wireless + Bluetooth Included
  • AFTERSHOCK Zeal M V2
  • Windows 11 Home 64 Bit *Unactivated*

I've tried picking my own items from Dyna PL based on reading past suggestions and price came up to about the same but slightly more expensive (better items)

  • AMD RYZEN 7 7800X3D Processor
  • Asus Tuf gaming b650m-Plus
  • Gskill Flare DDR5 EXPO 6000 CL32 32GB (16x2)
  • ThermalRight Assassin 120 SE
  • Nitro+ 7900xtx
  • WD black SN850X
  • Asus Rog LOKI 1000W ATX3.0 SFX-L Platinum
  • Lian Li 011D Mini
Total about $3497.

Any suggestion on parts that i can save on or swap and if my custom is better value than aftershock bundled deal?

The PSU i think overkill. Thor and Loki line sibei exp. Based on past recommendations from NightRaven and the rest i believe they recommend 750w PSU? Personally im planning to go for 850w to pair with the 7900 nitro. Dynacore has Asus Rog Strix 850W 80+ Gold Full Modular for 187.

Don't recommend the O11D Mini, from reviews, it only takes sfx psu, limiting your choices, and not really that good for air-cooling
O11D Air Mini, is slightly cheaper and better for air-cooling, and takes in standard atx psu. The Lancool 216 is even better thermally and cheaper

For psu, can go for MSI A850GF @ 159 or Superflower Leadex III 850w @ 165, both are tier A and 10yrs wty

Assuming you go for Lancool 216 and A850GF, you will save ~$250 from your own custom parts, bringing your total cost down to $3247, which is only around $100 more than the aftershock bundle, but you get better casing/psu/ssd/slightly better gpu cooler.

If you not in a rush, during sales, you can get just the GPU itself from aftershock @ 1450 with vouchers, which is a further $149 cheaper than the Nitro+ @ 1599

Yeah i just picked a overkill Tier A PSU with headroom (1000w) + atx 3.0 for possible future upgrading since its about a 100 dollars more.

Actually , picked 011D mini for the looks lol :p
I picked a SFX-L psu though, which i think it supports? Not very sure.

Was thinking of running the third configuration from this video which seems to have good airflow

Thats a good tip, which platform the sales + voucher normally be held?
Maybe i can keep a lookout since i can borrow ex-mining 3070 GPU for the time being since he have plenty.

But is the aftershock current bundle a value buy? i don't know how to DIY (broke my pc in my younger days by following youtube video) so i'm inclined towards aftershock or pay for assembly fee. Just don't know if the custom is worth it

Yeap O11D Mini support sfx/sfx-l psu... I feel the loki/thor is too ex. You can take a look at the corsair SF850L/SF1000L instead, also tier A
If you going for O11D mini type of looks, you can have a look at the Tecware VXM TG, around half the price, and looks-wise its almost a carbon copy of o11d mini

On shopee, sometimes got those $100 off with min. spend of 1.5k, theres a few different models of RX 7900XTX selling in aftershock store @ 1550, so with voucher, you can get @ 1450

You can take a look at Invader PC as well, they are the pre-built brand of Dynacore, can compare the their specs and pricing against aftershock also

For dynacore you can try and ask if got discount on top of the pricelist prices. I got from invader but I customise the parts with dynacore price list. Got like $300+ off the total price.

Actually i tried your method but for some reason the quote is higher
Example,

MOBO+CPU
ASUS TUF GAMING B650M-PLUS WIFI + 7600 534
To ASUS TUF GAMING B650M-PLUS WIFI + 7800X3D 924
Difference - 400

RAM
KINGSTON FURY BEAST RGB 5600MHz 16GB(8GBx2) CL36 AMD EXPO -160
to KINGSTON FURY BEAST RGB 6000MHz CL36 AMD EXPO - 180
Difference - 20

they quoted me $459 for a pre-built 7600 into a 7800x3D.
based on their website, RAM s + $158 based on website.

Don't know if they cock up your calculations but doesn't seem like its cheaper for mine for some reason

they quoted me $459 for a pre-built 7600 into a 7800x3D.
based on their website, RAM s + $158 based on website.

Don't know if they cock up your calculations but doesn't seem like its cheaper for mine for some reason
Wah maybe higher end parts not much discount. For mine maybe they did cock up or they having good discounts for my mid range parts. I did double confirm and ask them to calulate again also before I pay .

Currently looking at aftershock Anniversary bundle and wonder if this is a good deal for $3145
  • AMD RYZEN 7 7800X3D Processor
  • AFTERSHOCK Glacier Mirror 360mm Watercooling
  • Gigabyte B650M Gaming X AX
  • PowerColor Radeon RX 7900XTX Hellhound 24GB
  • 32GB ADATA Lancer RGB DDR5 6000MHz (16x2)
  • 1TB Lexar NM790 Gen4 SSD
  • 850W Deepcool 80+ Gold
  • Wireless + Bluetooth Included
  • AFTERSHOCK Zeal M V2
  • Windows 11 Home 64 Bit *Unactivated*
not bad for a 7800x3d + 7900xtx build, though there has been corner cutting on the mobo, nvme, (probably case) and aio while the psu is also quite sus.
I've tried picking my own items from Dyna PL based on reading past suggestions and price came up to about the same but slightly more expensive (better items)
  • AMD RYZEN 7 7800X3D Processor
  • Asus Tuf gaming b650m-Plus
  • Gskill Flare DDR5 EXPO 6000 CL32 32GB (16x2)
  • ThermalRight Assassin 120 SE
  • Nitro+ 7900xtx
  • WD black SN850X
  • Asus Rog LOKI 1000W ATX3.0 SFX-L Platinum
  • Lian Li 011D Mini
Total about $3497.

Any suggestion on parts that i can save on or swap and if my custom is better value than aftershock bundled deal?
as cutthroat and rockarolla mentioned, the psu is very overkill and expensive. even if u want to keep to the o11d mini, u can get the corsair sf850l (that is atx3 compliant) for $150 less and is still 50w more than as recommended by sapphire; 850w is way more than enough to keep upgrading well into the future. u can also save another $100+ by opting for the 7900xtx pulse, which should perform very similarly to the nitro+. these 2 changes should bring the cost down to $3250, which i think is worth the better quality parts and longer warranty from distro (5y nvme, 10y psu, lifetime ram) opposed to just 3y on the aftershock build. u can consider going for the non se pa120 from tradepac for basically the same price to shave a few degrees too, though the se is fine if u not sure how to diy (and dynacore may charge build fee to include this non se since it is not bought from them).

in my opinion though, unless u play specific games that benefit greatly from 3d vcache, u should just follow the high performance productivity + gaming rig in the first post. the 13700 keeps up very well with the 7800x3d in most gaming scenarios (at least 90% of the 7800x3d's performance), and chances are u wont be playing at cpu limited resolutions with this pc so u likely wont notice the difference. the 13700 also delivers vastly superior multicore performance at a much lower price point.
For psu, can go for MSI A850GF @ 159 or Superflower Leadex III 850w @ 165, both are tier A and 10yrs wty
super flower only offers 5y warranty, id go with the msi on this one at least.
Actually , picked 011D mini for the looks lol :p
I picked a SFX-L psu though, which i think it supports? Not very sure.
yes it does. its always a good idea to review the compatibility of ur parts (ie google and/or pcpartpicker) before confirming.
If you going for O11D mini type of looks, you can have a look at the Tecware VXM TG, around half the price, and looks-wise its almost a carbon copy of o11d mini
also supports full atx psus, which are cheaper. u can get an atx3 850w psu for yet another $60 saving over the corsair sf850l. chances are the veal m v2 is some rebranded case too, the v2 moniker is uncannily similar to the tecware vxn (not vxm) v2.

its abit costly, though part of it is due to the 10x al120s :s13: which system integrator is this? i personally would swap out the da850 for a more reputable unit from the likes of asus, corsair or seasonic. u also dont need a 360mm aio, the 7800x3d sips power and will perform the same under a much cheaper air cooler. and again, u can opt for the pulse 7900xtx if it is much cheaper.

EDIT: looked at ur dedicated thread again, for u and @fashommies, since both of u are playing at higher resolutions like 1440p and 4k rather than 1080p, yall can cut back on cpu and save a lot of money while getting most of the 7800x3d's performance at those resolutions.
relative-performance-games-38410-2160.png

7800x3d is very overpriced locally, u can slash $400 off cpu + mobo combo by opting for a ryzen 7600 for eg while still having 95% of the performance. and again, something like the 13600k from intel will also be very comparable even at lower resolutions like 1080p for a $200-300 discount.
