Upgraded mine to 1.06 last night without any issues...
then this morning turned on, kenna degraded RAID1... :(

Interestingly, one of the hdd's blue led was blinking continuously (new visual alert feature?), which makes it seem like it was already rebuilding/resync-ing (but it isn't!)

Anyway, in case anyone encounters this too, there's now a manual rebuild button in the web admin - click on it and it goes ahead and start rebuilding the array - then both blue led lights start to flash.

Will upgrading the firmware to 1.06 erase the hard disk's contents? I am using mirroring btw.
why would upgrading firmware erasing ur hard disk content?

unless u are changing raid type or formating new hdd

fw upgrades shouldn't erase your HDD content, otherwise, don't you think you'll have users up and arms against firmware upgrades?

hi guys, just upgraded my fw to 1.6. Now whenever i log into my homepage n click on the bit torrent tab, i get "Warning: Bit Torrent program is not installed. You can find the bit torrent installation program in the easy search utility."

I've tried installing it many times from the easy search utility but i still get that error.

yes, have been using ddns and transmission. :)

ddns should not interfere clutch in anyway since it is tied to your wan ip. you have to forward the port to your nas's local ip.

Help: DNS-323 constant rebooting

Juz got a set from a bro here, but having prob in getting the set to stay booted.
Firmware: 1.06 -> reflashed back to 1.05
HDD: 1 x Samsung 500gb
Prob:
- 1) With drive installed, when power button pressed-> drive boots up but boots down immediately. Unable to maintain uptime beyond 5mins. Noticed power adaptor led flickering before the set boots down. And when power brick led is flickering the set led is totally out (no power observed). Only when the power brick led stopped flickering and showed a constant green would the set start its booting process (though this would be only for a short while before the flickering starts again and the set power goes out again). Could it be due to a faulty power brick (the power brick was juz replaced by previous owner). Even when booted up (before powering down again), drive is not visible in system settings.
2) Without drive installed, set able to boot up (though it would also occasionally reboot also when the power brick led flicker), but uptime is longer (~ 2 hours constistently).

Solution: Anyone with any ideas how to continue with the troubleshooting?

Do you mind sharing the steps on how to do it properly. So far i've only managed to forward it to my webadmin page which is and not the cluch one which is http:\\9.177.19.21:8080\clutch.

why dont you try using tranmission 1.4 and above, so that you do not need to install clutch separately.

as for port forwarding, you have to configure in your router if you have any. forward connections making to port 8080 to your local ip, e.g: 192.168.*.* (fill up the * with your actual ip). then subsequently, when you access via your ddns, it should work. i.e: http://mydns.connect.com:8080/clutch
