I dun really buy them cos they are expensive now.
They are killing me previously.
And I need to cough for 2 weeks.
I dun need to visit any relatives cos most of them are gone.
And I dun talk to any cousins or nephews.

I don't buy any now (except arrowhead chips if didn't receive any). All are gifts from business friends. Some have to give away to in laws and my parents. Those I don't eat will 便宜 the office folks.

Anyway, most goodies are available all year round. Can buy and eat anytime.

I actually prefer CNY over Xmas and New year. Cos it's like spread out over 2 weeks, the festive mood last longer and also more time to arrange dinners/gatherings

I’d rather stay at home and sleep the 2 days.

EDMWers seem to be on really bad terms with their relatives. But then again, some EDMWers hate just everyone else.

I look forward to CNY gathering with my relatives cos no one really ask those annoying questions. My cousins are also very nice people and we always have a good time catching up

For me, the family reunion is the only reason the lunar new year is worth celebrating. The distant relative part not so much

One of them must be doing well, gifted us raw seafood and i don't even have space in my freezer to store all, have to place the lobsters and king crab to my MIL for storage. Tomorrow going to steam the abalone for dinner.

I prefer CNY cos it is time to feast the processed food with steamboat soup and CNY chips.
