My 360 D819 runs on one charge of battery for around 2-3 months, before I charge it...

...even though the doorbell camera still has around 20% power left.

I checked with Lazada local seller, to replace the battery is like S$80 to $120.

Free if under warranty.

At this pricing, might as well get new unit.

Better avoid this model in the beginning then.

Yes, it is rechargeable which also has a lifespan.

When it is time to change it, it is too ex if based on the quoted price. Just saying this.

Choice to buy is of course, the buyer's choice.

For live chat with people at the door, there is a bit of lag (around 1-2 seconds). But then again that is expected, as my house's router is not placed in optimum location.

How can I have the setup ready for this kind of door bell?
Looking at the situation of Nest Hello (maximum mafan) where adapter is required, just need to make sure there is 3 pin plug socket near the door on the inside, and wire trunking on the outside (like for normal doorbell)?
Other wired doorbells would also require power source from 3pin plug socket? For non rechargable ones..

Where does the sound of such door bells come out ? AI hubs like Google nest or phone app?

All U.S. wired video doorbell jin mafan because of the different voltage. But if you can get the right electrician, it will be a non issue. I’m also thinking of getting the Nest Hello because of live streaming (seems like the only reputable one in the market).

Two ways to power the Nest Hello. You mentioned the first already. The other way is getting a transformer and hook up with your existing doorbell chime, utilising whatever wiring already in place. I prefer this method should I able to find a wired video doorbell that uses 230V. See my post earlier.

If you hook up the Nest Hello to your existing chime, you get alert by the chime and by smart speaker, phone and Nest hub (whatever you setup with). No chime? It’s the latter range of smart devices.

Agree with the chime being non-issue.

When my Ring chime stopped working, I simply set my Alexa’s to announce door bell rings.

Imagine 11 Alexas around the house saying together “there’s someone at the door”...

If u did not wire a physical chime with Nest Hello, there is a very soft "ding dong" as a feedback for the person pressing the bell, followed in quick succession by "ding dong" across all google assistants / hubs + announcement "Postman is at the front door" or whichever named familiar face Nest learnt. Seems to be doing better than expected even with mask wearing.

I did not wire any physical chime with Nest Hello.

Subscription set to Perth and time zone will be same as Sg

Thank you! The nice thing about Nest is the expected support should some product issue crop up (cos big angmo brand) ,price is not so nice for something left outside the door ..

I was hoping to use Nest Hub as a remote viewer but it'll be moot if feedback lags,given the wifi and google server performance being part of the process I think..

Probably a second or less. quite fast. I have a google wifi unit pretty near the doorbell. When someone presses the Nest doorbell, the video of the doorbell loads pretty fast on Nest hub.

Anyone has installer to recommend for wired eufy doorbell.

Installation is using the existing original hdb doorbell wiring that was connected to the clime at the kitchen. I know is not difficult as I know some managed to do it themselves. But just that I don't have to take risk to handle electricity. Thank and know like to know the market rate for the installation too.

Hi. After reading thru almost all doorbell discussions. I found out that my home doorbell is just consist of 2 wires after I decided to look into it.I always thought the wiring is live that provided the electricity to the doorbell chime. Finally after 12 year. I realised the kitchen wall doorbell chime was powered by the batteries.

Now all I have to do is get the step down adapter and make use of the 2 wires.

Basically it will be

Home power point ac 220v - > step down adapter ac18v - > original hdb wiring on the kitchen wall that linked to the original hdb doorbell outside - > eufy doorbell.

I don't think I need a installer for that. Only need a drill and a wall punty to cover the existing old hdb doorbell casing.

read up on eufy. Eufy is like for alexa also.

And August did not mention will it cast video to the google nest hub display. Only integrate to gvie voice control and other google home speaker as bell.

chime powered by batteries so long? I have yet to check my chime and wiring yet. I suck at drilling holes on concrete walls. No problem with wood. I figure that were the steps.

So, how is the Eufy doorbell? You bought the wired one only or the other one with both batt/wired? Is the on demand viewing any good? Meaning, I don’t have to have anyone pushing the doorbell button. I just launch my app or ask Google to show me outside on demand so I don’t have to use the peephole any more.

I haven't bought yet, but probably have to get it the one and only seller from lazada for $299.

Although i believe i shouldn't face any wiring and power up issue for the wired eufy doorbell .

but now i need to know how i am going to fix up the gap on the wall left behind by the original doorbell switch being removed . I know i need plastering and wall putty and intend to diy, but not sure how to do it.

Google Nest Hello doorbell.

It is wired.

Works like charm, no need to think about workarounds to do this or that for third party one with google nest hub and google nest hub max.
